Debbie POV

I know what is going on between Roy and Thea. They think I am dumb, but I know. I am actually happy for him. He deserves to have someone and be in a relationship. That is not something I can give him. I want him to be my daddy, but I don’t want to be his wife. Roy longs for a wife and a life with someone. I want him to have it. I think Thea would be perfect for him. I think she would be okay with me being here and having Roy as my daddy.

Thea comes to the table. I watch Roy try hard not to look at her. It is so amusing to me. “Daddy, you know what tomorrow is, right?” I ask him.

“Yes, I know. Do you have big plans?” Roy asks me.

“Well, I wanted to see if you would let me go tonight and have tonight and tomorrow,” I say to Roy.

Thea looks at us, both confused. I reach out and take Thea’s hand. “Tomorrow is my day to do what I want, like a big girl day all to myself,” I explain to her.
