Capítulo 42: Ship completed
In that span of time, Laffitte led Joshua to a huge infrastructure which seemed to be a height of around 2 to 3 story building. It had a pale colour of brown with many parallel white stripes running right across it. At the head of the building, there were a few words imprinted in bold which stood out strikingly in the surrounding area.
Oyls' Ship building Enterprise.
Both individuals walked in and a fresh scent of nature greeted their noses. There were many different types and sizes of wood that were placed neatly and carefully on the wall. The whole atmosphere was lively as persons of different subtle auras walked around repeatedly. in the wide spread room, as they look woods presented before them with interest. For them not to directly touch the woods that were showcased, there was a minuature version of them on the each table which was used for sampling.
Joshua looked at everything indifferently as he continued to follow Laffitte until they reached a stairs where a middle age man was.
"The ship is finished and done well right," Joshua asked with a calm expression while facing the middleage man.
The middle age man had long messy brown hair and many wreckles could be noted on his face. In addition to this, he had many faciail hair on his face seemingly like he haven't had a shave for a period of time. He walked hurriedly over to Joshua's position as the cracked glasses continue to slid down on his sweaty face.
This is the owner of the ship building place -Oyls.
"Ye...yes sir," Oyls anwered with a trembling voice as he removed the glasses from his face and wept the residue sweat form his forehead with shaking hands. Joshua calmly swept his gaze over to Laffitte seemingly like he is trying to gather some information with his eyes.
"I think the captain will be pleased with his work," Laffitte gave a direct answer as he tapped his feet in a rhythmic motion. Joshua heard Laffitte's confirmation then he calmly nodded, he shifted back his gaze to Oyls then said, "Lead the way."
Seeing there this little meeting went smoothly, Oyls sighed in relief and quickly straighthen his body posture as he said,
"Right this way."
Then everyone move onto the descending stairs, as they went further down the step the light surrounding them became dimmer, until they reached an area where the lighting of the path was at its lowest . Oyls slowed down his step then touched a certain area of wall and huge screeching sound was rang out and specks of dust was lift of hidden door as it opened slowly.
"Sirs after you,"Oyls who calmed down said as he bowed slightly and placed his hands forward in a welcoming manner. Joshua stepped forward indifferently and Laffitte followed behind with a smiling .
"Boss your finally here," Guzen who was continuous rolling on the floor with a few stitched together corpses which had blood spewing said, as he stopped and looked on Joshua with a flash of crazed expression. Laffitte saw his brain damaged crewmate and shook his head helplessly. If Joshua didn't send him to supervise the ship with Guzen I'm afraid 50% of what happened he would not know.
Even though Oyls have been with Guzen for a while now, he still has a horrified expression when he saw those splitt opened corpses stitched together tightly. Cause right throw the whole time, this is what Guzen had been doing. Know it's to the point where Oyls has lost count of how many persons has went through such process. If it had not been for his good mental state and the constant thought that he might die if he doesn't finish building the ship, he would have collapsed already.
Joshua just nodded at Guzen, then instantly cast his gaze on the huge figure that was came into clear view as the lights are turned.
"This is would probably be the best ship that I ever built in all my years of making ships," Oyls who forcibly calm down himself said with a proud look in his eyes.
Joshua eyes flashed with a bit of colour as looked at the monster before him that gave off dreadful breath.
The ship stood high and proud in the workshop with a height of 10m overlooking all the sentiment beings. Its whole body had a fine dark luster colour around it, which would illuminate dimly under the gaze of the moonlight. There were 12 small and 8 huge cannons stationed on both sides of the it which was encamped in rich hue of brown. In addition to this, there was two double barrels on both sides of the deck . Stationed in the middle sail hull, there laid quietly a dreadful cross bow artillery, which are ready and waiting for war.
At the head of the ship was black distorted snake which gave off a creepy and dark aura. While it was in its stationary position, the appearance of th snake was like a low yet powerful roaring beast . Its roar signified for its demeanor and it's long, shrap teeth represents intent to kill.
There were four black wheels stationed at the four low areas of the ship, which can be used in case of lack of winds. The whole ship was an astonishing 40m long which gave off a dark yet dignified appearance.
Joshua jumped on the ship then lightly swept his hands across it, then gave some small knocks. When he heard the sound of it gave off a small arc rose from the corner of his mouth. The ship isn't just made of Adam wood but also metal. Yes, he when first came to Oyls, Joshua made sure that Oyls took special note of this.
He knows that Adam wood is strong but why not double your reassurance. One should know that anything can happen at sea and even though Adam wood is indeed strong it is not invincible.
With that being said your ship still can get sunken at sea at any given time and different causes can cause this to happen. Therefore, Joshua used some system points and bought some available metal from it. Now the whole interior of the ship was built with metal with the exterior in Adam wood. Doing this not only double the reassurance when dealing with the sea's repeated phenomenon. But can also withstand any attack from the enemy they face will throughout their journey.
A few meters lawn was beautifully fitted on the ship with couple of shorts fruit trees, which looked refreshing and juicy filled. There was also a 2 small exquisite spots which had some well furnished tables and sits. In this same breath, dark brown vibrant and rich lumber of the deck intensifies its coordination of the ship with its presence.
While Joshua was looking on the lawn, dozen or so workers who were on the ship saw the small figure came on the ship which startled them. However, when they saw the person they were horrified which cause them to stop what they were doing momentarily.
"Sir we are just doing some small adjustments on the ship, l hope there is no problem with that," a bald old man said with fear in his eyes.
They dont dare to be have 2 brushes in front of the figure who can kill the top navy branch officer ,who has made many runaway grandline pirates desperate. So the old man how seems to have a some experiences through his entire life chose what to say to Joshua carefully and cautiously.
Joshua lightly glanced on the scared old man and said, "don't mind me just continue doing what you were doing."
"Yes sir," the old man sighed in relief as he and the others continued their jobs with a eased heart.
Joshua didn't pay attention to the workers as he continue to view the ship. There were more than 10 sails on the ship which were in a pale black colour. The cab which was on the ship had a wide area and based on the tall of height of it, many things can be spotted with by large telescopes.
The first floor of the ship had the kitchen, dining room, living room etc. There was a stairs which led to the lower floor of the ship and this was where a fully equipped training ground was. On the second floor there about a dozen rooms which had a nealty built balcony there as while. For the top floor this area was built for Joshua, the layout and design was simply awe inspiring and the quality of materials were used top notch.
Joshua went in the training room then from there opened a door which led him straight down the control area. There were many charged batteries that gave off warm radiated heat that is connected and combined to many powers circuits which then leads back to one point.
"How fast will ship be able to go," Joshua said lightly as he sensed the incoming person.
"Sir Chaos, its maximum speed will not loose to any of the navy big ships," Oyls who has just hurriedly climbed unto the ship said with a bit of heavy panting in his voice.
One should know that there are not many pirates whose ship can't shake off those navy's warship with the exception of those old big pirates. So being to be able to have the speed of a warship that is in the grandline, a bit of a satisfication was in Joshua's eyes.
"It would be not bad to recruit him," Joshua thouught as he touched his chin lightly. Oyls skills are not bad and to achieve this level, his years of experience and accumulation are not small.
But...
Joshua shook his head as he looked on Oyls a for little bit, even though he is a good shipwright he has no talent where real power is concerned. Even if he got a devil fruit he would not go far in its development and from the looks of it he seems way exhausted himself.
"Sir is there something wrong," Oyls said with a trembling voice when he saw Joshua looked on himself which got him thinking that something may wrong with the ship. This totally made his back cold.
"Its nothing," Joshua said as he walked back up to the deck then stood calmy on the platform which had the ship wheel.
"So what do you think of the ship captain," Laffitte made long a flap in the air with his wings and as he landed gracefully near Joshua's position. Oyls who has just reached up starting sweating again when he heard such words. If Joshua was not satisfied with this, no matter how many lives he had, he would die and the same thing went for the workers here as well.
"Its not bad, " Joshua said indifferently.
Oyls and the workers immediately let loose of their hearts when they heard, there back breaking time spent to build the ship has not gone to waist. Which made them a little excited as, the pay they will receive after this would probably make them carry them right through 2 years. How can they not be excited.
"What wiill you name the ship then Laffitte," asked with a slightly squinted eyes.
This....
For Laffitte's question Joshua hasn't really thought of this, all he wanted was the ship to be built and gotten over with. But Laffitte said made him lost in thought for a little bit, Luffy did have names for both his previous and present ship so there is no harm in naming his.
" Boss called it... the Dark blood ship," Guzen who had appeared on the ship in flash said with flashes of bloodthristiness running through his eyes.
"No! Thats tasteless, The dancing Black ship is better," Laffitte immediately answered in a strong disagreed tone.
"You want to die," Guzen glared at Laffitte with flickers of killing intent in his blood red eyes.
"Dark Sparrow isn't bad...."
"The Dreaded Snake sounds much more cooler..."
"Doom Drifter would fit it well...."
Then in just s few short breath, everyone voiced ther opinion about what the name of the ship should be. But they immediately shout up when they saw Laffitte and Guzen shooting a few death glares at them . It didn't matter who said what, cause it all comes down to Joshua's answer.
Silence has retaken over again and everyone waited patiently on what Joshua has to say. He who was lost in thought for a few moments held up his head and looked on the rich black colour of the ship then looked on the head of the ship then a flicker of black glint flashed across his eyes.
The ship's name will be ...
