Capítulo 97: Chapter 97

Some clothes had been set on a nearby settee, and when he pulled them on, Omar was surprised by how well they fit. The Remnien clothes were strange, but not uncomfortable. They were also mercifully warm in the chilly, early spring air.

Just outside the bedroom, and down two steps, was a landing from which two staircases spread. It seemed a ridiculous feature, when one staircase would have done fine, but Omar just picked one and headed down, following the sound of voices until he found a group of people in a noisy, bustling kitchen.

They all went silent as they saw him, and then a woman who must be the cook and housekeeper hastened over to him. "Good afternoon, my lord."

Omar laughed briefly. "I am no lord, but thank you. Good afternoon. Where am I? Other than still in Remnien, obviously."
