Capítulo 47: Chapter 47 : He already knew about it

After the long meeting was over, I leaned my back on the back of the chair, feeling somehow exhausted despite barely doing anything. What a day.

Immediately after the meeting ended, few people crowded around Alex, expressing their goodwill or interest to get to know him better. Of course, nobody would miss this chance to get into Alex's good grace, not after his display of authority earlier.

Without a chance to say anything, he was 'invited' for further discussion about something, and 'escorted' to another room. So there was only me and Mrs. Victoria left in the room.

"Tired?" asked Mrs. Victoria to me.

"Yeah, kinda."

"I am glad everything turned out to be okay in the end," she sighed in relief while massaging her stiff shoulders.

"So, Mrs. Victoria and Alex had known each other for a long time?"

"Why are you calling Alex without honorific yet using one for me?" Mrs. Victoria pouted. I hurriedly recognized my mistake.
