Kumoko saw Izumi's whole body was clad in Armor which made her complain.
"Hey hey, earlier was Terminator, now there's Gundam too. Please don't ruin the fantasy world setting!"
Kumoko had a sort of bizarre feeling because the fantasy world in her imagination had changed a lot since the appearance of the Terminator, Potimas. But she was also wondering, she didn't remember there was such advanced science in her original world. It was as if Izumi came from a different Japan or Japan in a parallel world.
"Well, who cares. More importantly, I already agreed I would help the demon lord to save this planet. If this planet is destroyed, can I still live in outer space?"
Kumoko shook her head. Forgetting the crazy imagination that was close to the death flag.

After getting to know each other, Ariel decided to continue the journey. After hearing what Izumi said, Ariel became a little worried about what Potimas was planning for Kumoko's former classmate. She didn't want any more human experiments like the one that happened to her more than 1,000 years ago as she happened to be one of the victims.
And regarding Izumi's offer, it was really surprising. Ariel thought she would need help from Izumi in the next few years because she also wanted to gather troops first. However, after Izumi introduced his friends whose strength was stronger than any commander in Ariel's current army, Ariel immediately agreed with Izumi's offer.
Ariel asked why they had to rush. Izumi only replied that something bad would happen if they didn't do that in the next 2 months. As a matter of fact, Izumi might or might not need her help in his plan, depending on the outcome later.
After that, Ariel wants to take Sophia and her parents to the demon territory. Sophia's parents refused because they couldn't live in a place like that. However, what Ariel said stunned them, including Merazophis.
"Your daughter who is a vampire can't live near humans. Humans will hunt your daughter if they find out the truth."
"Vampire? What do you mean?"
"Don't joke around! Her parents are pure humans, why do you say she's a vampire? What is the proof?"
Sophia's mother didn't seem to believe what Ariel said, even Merazophis snapped.
Ariel was silent for a moment. She wanted to say something, but Izumi interrupted as he began to talk with Sophia.
"Little baby, should I call you Sophia Keren, or Negishi Shouko?"
Izumi spoke in Japanese, so Sophia's parents and Merazophis didn't understand his words.
Izumi continued.
"You don't need to reveal your true identity! But, regarding your race, which is a vampire, I will make excuses for your family."
Sophia was silent because she hesitated at the difficult choice she had. If she said she was a vampire, she was afraid that her parents would hate her.
"You're not going to say something that makes them afraid of me, are you?"
"Well, I just wanted to help you. It's up to you whether you accept it or not."
Indeed as a vampire race having human parents is so strange. It was like saying that Sophia wasn't their biological child. And because Ariel said that so casually, Sophia couldn't hide it anymore. Well, sooner or later such a thing would be discovered by her parents. So, it might be better if they knew early on.
Izumi turned to Sophia's parents.
"Sir, Madam, I have said before, your daughter is special. The fact that your daughter is special is because she has a unique skill as this spider has." Izumi pointed at Kumoko, then continued. "Before, she was the spider you met when you were attacked by the bandits back then, and this is the result of her evolution."
Kumoko has a lower body similar to the spider Sophia's mother had seen before. Though this time, her appearance was kinda different because she had a human upper body. Sophia's mother looked at Kumoko who didn't expect that the monster that had the upper body of a human was the spider she had met before.
She thought.
"To think a monster can evolve."
In general, the evolution of monsters was unknown to most humans. There are only a few exceptions, such as a monster tamer, wizard, or adventurer. As a noble who rarely dealt with monsters, it was only natural that Sophia's mother had heard of monster evolution for the first time.
Then, she heard Izumi say again.
"Thanks to that unique skill, sometimes, there are side effects that make the owner have a change, which can be a change of race, memory loss, or others. Like this spider who has memory loss."
Kumoko more or less understood what Izumi said as she was also starting to learn the language in her new world.
"Memory loss?" Kumoko responded by pointing to herself. Then Izumi asked Kumoko if she remembered her past 3 years ago. He asked in a language that Sophia's mother could understand. But he added it in Japanese. "Memories of 3 years in the past before you died."
Kumoko previously wanted to answer that the memories of 3 years ago didn't exist because she was 2 years old in this world, but when she heard Izumi's additional words, she fell silent. She started to think that her memories from before high school were so vague. It's like Kumoko did lose her memory after reincarnating in a fantasy world.
Of course, Kumoko didn't remember. Kumoko only got a soul fragment from D which only explained her background. Besides, she was just a spider who happened to be in the class and reincarnated afterward by getting some memories from "Wakaba Hiiro". Naturally, those memories were just her background being an orphan, a loner, and a gamer. Still, knowing that she didn't vividly remember her memories 3 years ago was too weird as if what Izumi said was true.
In fact, she only has a small memory of her time on earth because she doesn't know that she is not the real "Wakaba Hīro". After all, the real "Wakaba Hīro" is on earth right now.
Kumoko held her dizzy head as she was confused from not remembering 3 years prior before she died. She even thought that Izumi's words were true regarding memory loss and changing races. This is because Kumoko only knew that she was human before reincarnating into a spider afterward. Moreover, Sophia was also a vampire race now. Even Sophia herself thought that Izumi's words seemed legit after seeing Kumoko's reaction.
"See? She didn't even remember her past even though she had already lived for a long time." Izumi said to Sophia's parents while pointing at the confused Kumoko. "And I'll tell you that what Ariel said was real."
Sophia's parents saw that Izumi's expression didn't contain any lies. She also saw how Kumoko did look difficult to remember her past. Sophia's mother, who was holding her daughter, stroked Sophia's head while hugging her. She didn't think that Sophia wasn't her daughter because Sophia was born from her womb. She was just afraid that Sophia would change because she knew that vampires were bloodthirsty creatures. Sophia's expression looked difficult as she glanced at her mother, afraid that her mother hated her.
Ms. Keren just smiled.
"Even if you're a vampire, you're still my daughter."
She turned her head and looked in Ariel's direction. This was thanks to what Ariel said. If she insisted on bringing Sophia to live like a human, sooner or later, Sophia who is a vampire would be discovered by others. Thinking about the best for her daughter's future, it would be best if she accepted Ariel's offer.

While Ariel decided to return to demon territory as soon as possible, Kumoko planned to train Sophia later as Kumoko felt that it was necessary for Sophia to get stronger to protect her family as she understood that her world wasn't friendly at all.
Ariel asked if Kumoko could teleport them to demon territory directly. But it turned out that Kumoko could only teleport to places she's been to.
"Oh yeah, before we head to demon territory, it'd be best if we stop at the border between the Renxandt Empire and the demon territory for a bit."
Suddenly, Izumi conveyed his opinion to Ariel. Ariel asked.
"Why do you want to go there?"
"Looking for an Oni who is Kumo-chan's old friend. Eh, maybe he hasn't evolved into an Oni yet. Or has he?"
