In the vast expanse of the lush forest, there were two shadows that appeared from the void. One was a skinny guy with a handsome face but slightly feminine looking, his hair tied up into a small ponytail with a few bangs framing his face. The other one had spiky white hair, he wore a mask and headband that covered his left eye. There was also a relaxed or lazy expression shown by him.
Those two were Izumi and Kakashi.
"Seeing you in person somehow makes me feel like I'm stopping by a cosplay convention, Kakashi-san." Izumi said while looking at Kakashi.
"Cosplay?"
That was another foreign word to him.
Izumi explained.
"Cosplay is something like your fans copying how you look. How can I say it, basically you know that all the members in the chat group are anime characters, right? Well, a fan of yours imitated your appearance by wearing the exact same costume as you. That's how it is."
"I see. Something like that common in your world?"
"Yup. Kuroneko's world too."
"Didn't you two come from the same world?"
In the past two days. Kakashi was always paying attention to the chat. It could be said that he was an online warrior who was always active most of the time. He thought Kuroneko and Izumi had similarities. So he deduced that both of them were from the same world.
"Ah, no! Even though our world is kinda similar, we are from different worlds. Or you can say it's parallel worlds. The same world, but different dimensions. Something like that."
"Hmmm." Kakashi became even more confused by what Izumi said. Different worlds, parallel worlds, different dimensions. Those three seemed the same, but when it came out of Izumi's mouth, the two of the latter had different meanings from the former.
"Well, you don't need to think about it. Anyway, nice to meet you, Kakashi-san." Izumi reached out his hand.
"Likewise," Kakashi said and reached out to shake Izumi's hand.
Kakashi looked around and asked.
"Where are we right now?"
"Dunno. We're not in a hurry anyway. I also wanted to ask you, Kakashi-san."
"What is it?"
Izumi then explained how he trained yesterday.
Drew in his internal energy which is centered 3 inches below his navel. Then, flowing it through his meridians.
"It might be the same as the chakra system. Have you tried releasing a Ninjutsu?"
"I couldn't even remember hand seals. How can I release a Ninjutsu?" Izumi could only scratch his head in response.
"Is that so? Don't fret! With more training, you will be able to release a Ninjutsu soon."
"Alright. In that case, help me train for a little bit, Kakashi-san!"
With that said, Izumi got guidance for his training to manipulate the energy within his body. Of course, even with Kakashi's guidance, it was still not easy for Izumi.
Izumi spent two days in the forest. Izumi himself had made preparations by bringing several instant foods that might be useful for situations like this.
Kakashi also thought about how practical it would be in his world to have instant food like that.
Two days were enough for Izumi to completely manipulate his internal energy after being guided by Kakashi. Then, they look for a way to get out of the forest
While they walked, Izumi asked Kakashi.
"Kakashi-san, if I'm not wrong, your Sharingan should have taken a great deal of your chakra, right? Why don't you try to seal it?"
"This Sharingan is so useful in combat. If I seal it, it will be quite troublesome if I want to unseal it in the middle of combat. In addition, I'm not that proficient enough in Fuinjutsu."
"That's a pity. I think if you can seal and unseal it at will, there will be more benefits, you know. Furthermore, since you're used to using the Sharingan to copy enemy movements or techniques, why don't you try it without using the Sharingan? To be honest, getting the Sharingan actually hinders your development."
Suddenly Kakashi came to a realization. What Izumi said was right. What developed from him was only his strength, but his abilities seemed to have dulled more than when he was young. It seemed he didn't have to force himself to use his Sharingan every time there was an enemy tougher or slightly stronger than him.
Izumi himself thought that the Sharingan was just one of the factors that made Kakashi dull. Another factor that halted his progress was the forced killing of his former teammate. If it weren't for those two factors, Izumi believed that Kakashi would have become a ninja who might be on par with the Kage level.
Without realizing it, they had come out of the forest where they could see the view of the big town in front of them.
"So that's Magnolia huh? I feel like I was traveling through time and came to the Middle Ages after seeing the buildings in that town."
After some time, both Izumi and Kakashi finally arrive in town. They asked where the Fairy Tail guild was. Weirdly, every passerby told him with a sigh whenever he asked about the Fairy Tail guild.
"Tenrou Island, huh? And they've been trapped there for more than 6 years. Looks like we can only see the guild that used to be strongest in the Fiore, and now is the weakest." Izumi murmured. But his voice could still be heard by Kakashi, who asked right after.
"You said magic and Ninjutsu were kinda similar. But how about the power?"
"I couldn't tell since it said that Fiore is the weakest country. In terms of usability, Ninjutsu has the advantage of having many auxiliary techniques. Whereas magic in this world depends on the user. Most people here can only use one kind of magic. So in terms of efficiency, Ninjutsu is superior. However, don't underestimate magic! Depending on what the magic is, and how proficient the magic user is, magic can overpower Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu, or even Jujutsu. All in all, they have strengths and weaknesses."
With Izumi's explanation, Kakashi understood that this world and his world basically had the same power.
After they both walked for a few minutes. They arrived at Magnolia's outskirts, which is the Fairy Tail guild location. Izumi looked at the guild interior which was kinda a bit messy along with the low spirits of the guild members.
Even so, some of the guild members noticed Izumi and Kakashi's arrival. The appearance of the two of them was kinda foreign, so those guild members who saw Izumi and Kakashi wondered who they were.
"Did something happen? Was there a fight?"
Izumi asked them. Only then did all the guild members notice that two strangers had arrived in their guild.
The middle-aged man with blue hair and a thick mustache replied with a sigh.
"This kind of thing is normal for us."
Izumi frantically stepped back. Even the middle-aged man in front of him was confused by Izumi's actions.
"Kakashi-dan, he's used to getting beaten up. Isn't this the legend of a masochist?"
Everyone was dumbfounded, even Kakashi included. A moment later, that middle-aged man yelled.
"Masochist your sister!!"
"Well, I don't have a sister. Sorry about that."
Izumi just replied calmly.
Veins popped up in that middle-aged man's head. He breathed deeply, and let it out slowly. After calming down. He asked.
"Never mind. Then, what business do you two come here for? I'm Macao Conbolt, the Fairy Tail's fourth guild master. Honestly, if you make a request, I don't think we'll be able to get it done any time soon. You know, our conditions are kinda bad these past few years."
"I know, but we're not here to make a request. We came here to offer an exchange. By the way, my name is Miyamura Izumi, Miyamura is my surname, and Izumi is my given name. Beside me, he is Hatake Kakashi. Similar to my name, Kakashi is his given name."
Macao furrowed his brows when he heard their names.
"The name order is opposite, you're not from Fiore?"
"Yeah, we're traveling around the world and somehow ended up here."
Without showing any uneasiness with his eyes, Izumi lied to Macao as if he was telling the truth. His trick from his previous life turned out to be useful under these circumstances.
"I see. By the way, what did you mean by "exchange" earlier? I don't think we have anything worth exchanging"
"I'm not looking for anything valuable. But, my offer might pique your interest. Wanna hear?"
Although Izumi said with a smile, his voice sounded without any hesitation making Macao want to know what Izumi had to offer and believe that his offer was of interest to Macao.
Looked at Macao who nodded. Izumi said.
"All of the Fairy Tail members who went missing on Tenrou Island are still alive."
"WHAT?"
Spontaneously, not only Macao but all of the Fairy Tail members who heard it were also stunned.
