Capítulo 6: Chapter 6: Clubs

Navaya noticed Becca's brows were knotted in confusion, and so she quickly added.

" Hey, don't think too much about it. I didn't know either until Johnny brought it up on the phone. Besides, we should be celebrating our future partnership, not racking our brains on matters that are none of our business."

Even after what Navaya just said, Becca couldn't help but ask herself why Johnny never mentioned to her that he knew Leonardo Kane. Like who wouldn't want to meet one of the richest men in the country? Not her, that's for sure.

'Just wait and see, Johnny, I'll make you spill the beans for sure,' She said in her mind as she grinned inwardly.

" You know what? You're right. It's none of our business." Becca said as she looked away from her friend and sipped some more of her whiskey.

None of her business? Yeah right! How could she say that it was none of her business when her curiosity was growing more and more, even feeding on her internal organs?

"Then let's go celebrate. I know this expensive club and I heard it's going to be lit tonight. It only hosts rich people so everyone who goes there gotta have a heavy pocket and overflowing bank account," Navaya said with a smile, one that was filled with mischief as it made her look like a diabolical villain. Becca didn't like it when her friend smiled like thet. It meant she was up to something mischievous and couldn't trust her. At least not with that wicked smile on.

" A club? You know I don't really like clubs," Becca pouted. Not liking clubs was an understatement, she hated them. They were too noisy and super crowded with people all up in her space. Not to mention when a cocky, annoying stranger comes over and offers to buy you a drink like you couldn't afford one. Then he would probably ask you to dance with him and starts flirting hopelessly with you. That was Becca's impression of clubs and she detested the idea of going to one. Clubs were annoying and for an introvert like her, they were hell.

" Your pouting and puppy dog eyes won't work on me. I've seen them all. Besides, it's final. We're going clubbing tonight whether you like it or not. Just consider it as my reward for a job well done. And who knows, you might even find prince charming over there. Or even king charming. I heard a lot of potential sugar daddies go there. If you get my drift?" She teased and Becca's jaw almost fell to the floor. Like what was this crazy woman even saying?!

" First of all, I ain't fucking Cinderella who goes partying late at night and falls in love with the first man she dances with. Secondly, what the heck do you think of me?! A sugar baby material?! Fuck it! I'm not going!" Becca huffed at the brazen words of her shameless friend.

When Navaya saw Becca wasn't going to budge so easily, she decided to pull out the big guns. She thinned her lips and gave the saddest puppy dog eyes in the history of puppy dog eyes and lightly poked Becca's arm to get her full attention. Becca saw the look Navaya had on her face and sighed like a helpless parent, she finally waved her white flag in defeat.

There was no winning against this crazy woman.

Navaya squealed in excitement, seeing as she had won over Becca.

" Oh bestie, it's gonna be so much fun. I promise," Navaya flashed a thousand watts smile and the sad eyes she had on before were now nowhere to be found.

" I doubt it," Becca disagreed instantly. Ahe had no doubt it would be a horrible experience. " All I really wanna do tonight is sit on my couch and eat ice cream," She added and Navaya shot her a look.

" The only couch we're gonna be on tonight is the one in the club. So I need you to go home, pop the tags off some of them badass dresses and get snatch, sis. It's hunting season!"
