It probably didn't acknowledge the soul pets Teacher Zheng had addressed.

"It's a little proud," Lin Xi said.

"It's not just pride," Teacher Zheng shook his head, slightly embarrassed. "The Cloud Cap Snake is very intellectual. Extremely precious young soul pets will all have very high intelligence after they develop. Ordinary people will find it very difficult to earn its recognition, and so it'll be challenging to even sign a soul pact with its soul egg."

The Cloud Cap Snake gently flicked its tail, combing through it with its tiny hands.
