Ryder gritted his teeth as the same flashback played inside his mind. 

That day, Ryley begged him on his knees and told him with regrets that he had to escape the country as soon as possible.

"Take Nathan and your mother with you. And if you can... Adrian and his children too..." Ryley muttered, "You can't stay in the country, not after the upcoming meeting." he added, shaking his head helplessly.

"Why do you want me to do that? What are you going to do?" 

It blew his mind when Ryley told him that he was pregnant with Clyde's children, and more so the moment Ryley revealed that Nathan carried one of them after Adrian helped transfer the embryo. 

"Please don't ask me the reason..." Ryley said, swallowing the bitterness in his mouth as he staggered back with his palm covering his mouth. 

He couldn't even tell Ryder that they were half-brothers.
