Capítulo 170: Chapter 169 - Her Ploy

Thomas was too much of a coward to defend Helena so he gestured for a servant to take a chair and said nervously, "Helena, you accompany Madam Clark here. I hope you two get along well."

Helena couldn't believe what Thomas just said. Did Thomas ditch her and run away to save himself?!

She gripped the wine bottle tighter and flattened her smile more as she forced herself to sit down on a chair that was less grand than the old woman's chair beside her.

Only when the old woman lifted her wine glass did the orchestra continue to play on the stage.

"Grand aunt, I will go to Gracia and my brand ambassador first." Claire said in a respectful tone halfway through the event. 

The old woman pulled the corner of her lips into an elegant smile and nodded with her eyes.

Once Claire left, she pushed her glass towards Helena who had been sitting while holding the wine bottle like a servant.
