After Berengar had fled the dining scene, he quickly took a cold bath to calm himself down. He could not fall prey to this temptress's schemes; it would surely mean the death of him. After spending enough time in the bath to cool his bodily reaction, he returned to his room, where he began to draft plans for the steel plow. It was the next step in his irrigation initiative.
He would work well into the night as per usual. Only after midnight had approached was he disturbed from his work by the knocking sound at his door. He was wary; There was only one person who would possibly disturb him at this hour. Linde was here to plot against him. He would not fall for her advances like he had done earlier that evening, or so he thought.
So... I revised chapters 18 and 19. As some of you may know, those are my two most controversial chapters. To make it clear, I am not revising them because they are controversial; I do not care in the slightest about being controversial. I mean, for Christ's sake, this novel is about German unification and imperialism. Which for some reason I just know there is someone out there who will eventually take fault with that.
I am revising them because apparently "sexually violent" content is against the rules for the contest this Novel is a part of. Though my chances of being nominated (let alone winning) the contest are slim, to say the least, I will at least attempt to win. Go big or go home right?
Basically, I will be taking the chapters where Linde is, how do we say coerced onto Berengars side and making them more... consensual. It is in no way changes her character throughout the story or the plot. As always, thanks for reading, and thanks for paying attention to my little rant.
