Capítulo 45: Chapter 45

Close to ten minutes passed before a word was exchanged between Joe and Caroline, the tension was thick between them, it shrouded the air and both were afraid to cut through it. It was Caroline who finally broke the silence.

"So how do we put this stuff on?" She held up the vial of red goo vial Victoria called 'inodorant' and examined it closely.

"I've been using it as a sort of shampoo." Joe replied.

"You've been using it?"

"Victoria gave me a vial of the stuff before, she said it would mask my scent."

"Your scent?" Caroline was confused and with good reason, somehow Joe was in on all this magic and death and monsters and she was not. After careful study of Caroline's confused face he decided to let her in on everything.
