I squealed in pain as Nate roughly dragged the brush through the tangled mess in my hair.

"Nate! Be careful", I whined at him, scolding him. It was Friday night and I just came back after taking a shower when Nate popped up in my room asking if he could make my hair because he was bored, I being the nice and kind person I am let him but I didn't know he was this ruthless.

Elijah was nowhere in sight, I bet he was where he has been disappearing off to in late nights, I was curious but I kept it in check, he already has told me so much I didn't want to come across as clingy.

" Owwww!", I yelped again and he let out a quick 'sorry'.

"It's not my fault, it's the brush's fault!", He said defensively, throwing his hands up in the air.

"I was just looking to play with your pretty long hair, I didn't know I had to untangle this whole mess", He threw the brush on the ground and I gave him a blank look.
