There were often many personality tropes for the main love interest in different manga and light novel series.
Tsundere, yandere, kuudere, and so many more. If all of them were listed here, the author would probably pass out from sheer exhaustion.
"Ahh, I wish I had a yandere that was attracted to me..." Takei sighed as he put the romance manga down. "I think that would be really cool."
He had just finished catching up to a romance manga that had a yandere main love interest, which was one of Takei's favorite personality tropes.
Takei equally liked yanderes and derederes, so there was competition for his top two favorite personality tropes.
"Let's see, what to do today..." Takei mumbled as he checked his phone. "Akari's out doing something with the other girls and the boys are busy right now as well. Looks like I'm on my own today then."
Takei didn't know what to do and had no friends to hang out with, so he headed downstairs to see if his sister wanted to do something with him.
He saw his sister lazing around on the coach and approached her. "Hey, Airi. You busy right now?"
"Not really, what is it?" She replied.
Takei shrugged. "I'm bored, wanna go out somewhere?"
Airi thought of some things that they could do before answering. "We're a bit low on groceries, so let's go to the supermarket?"
"Sounds good to me. I'll go get ready right now," Takei said as he rushed upstairs to throw on some outdoor clothes.
After roughly five minutes, the Tanaka siblings left their household and embarked to the supermarket.
They haven't been able to spend much time with each other as of recent due to circumstances and their respective partners keeping them busy.
"How is your relationship with Mahiro coming along?"
"We went on a date yesterday and he got me a stuffed panda. He looked really cool when he tried so hard to win it from the claw machine!" Airi gushed.
"Was I really cool when I got you stuffed animals from the claw machines?" Takei jealously asked.
"Eh... Not really."
"Guh!" Takei took 999 damage.
He felt disappointed that she didn't think he was cool anymore since Airi used to follow him around everywhere as a kid.
She would always follow him and praise him about how cool he was, now she was being cold to him ever since they grew up.
"You were so nice and cute when you were little," Takei fake cried.
"Sorry I grew up?" Airi was flabbergasted on how to reply. "Every girl idolizes her older brother up until a certain age where they become independent and branch off."
"Aww, I'm gonna need Akari to cheer me up now..." Takei continued to cry fake tears.
While the two were joking around as they were walking, Takei noticed that a girl was being hit on by two unscrupulous guys. "She looks really uncomfortable..."
Based on the girl's uniform, it looked like she was someone from his school.
The girl had long black hair, a beautiful face, modest assets, and a gloomy atmosphere around her.
She looked to be a bit of the plainer type, but she was most definitely a bonafide beauty behind that false exterior.
"S-Stop please!" The girl screamed for help as the two guys kept on getting closer to her.
Airi grimaced when she saw this happening. "Takei..."
"I got this," Takei responded by patting Airi's head to calm her down. "Your super cool big brother is going to save a girl in trouble!"
Takei walked up to the two guys that were harassing the girl with his cellphone in his left hand. "Ah, yeah... Is this 911? There's trouble going on next to the Shinewa supermarket on 40th avenue. It seems to be two guys harassing a girl."
"Tch!" The two guys walked off when they heard Takei talking to the operator on the phone.
I'm not actually talking to anyone, so I'm lucky that my bluff worked out.
"Are you okay?" Takei outstretched his hand to the girl.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for helping me," the girl grasped his hand and used it to stand up. "My name is Mitsuki Fujiwara. May I please know your name?"
Takei felt that there was something a little bit off about her, but he decided that it was just something he was imagining so he ignored it.
"Takei Tanaka."
At this very moment that Takei revealed his name, his fate was sealed in stone.
A smile appeared on Mitsuki's face as she learned of Takei's name. The part about her smiling wasn't really the problem, it was the part about how creepy the smile was. There was a slight shadow behind her smile that hid more than one emotion.
"Takei Tanaka... Hee hee, what a nice name..." Mitsuki giggled. "Takei Tanaka... Mitsuki Tanaka... Hehehehe."
She was beginning to say some strange things, so Takei wanted to escape before something bad happened.
"Ahaha, saving you was no problem. Now, I gotta go somewhere! I have no need for a reward, so see ya!" Takei yelled as he ran away.
"Eh? W-Wait!" Mitsuki called out to him.
Since Takei put as much force as he could into his steps, he was long gone and not close enough to hear Mitsuki's voice.
"Mou... why are you running away? After all, you're my dear..."
Unluckily for Takei, it seemed that he had attracted some more trouble to himself.
"...Husband."
