Her scent engulfed him, crisp like the morning breeze, sweet like the freshest spring flowers. It was heavenly, and he wanted more. Almost on instinct, his tongue swept across her lips, savoring their softness before parting them and delving into the warm depth of her mouth.
She stumbled a little, losing her balance from his unexpected advance. Bai Ye wondered if it was a sign for him to stop, but he couldn't make himself do it. Instead, he leaned her against the desk beside him, cupping her cheeks between his palms, and deepened the kiss.
If you noticed the (small but many) parallels between Qing-er and Bai Ye's past and present, that was done on purpose :) Their two lifetimes together mirror each other, where they get to relive their happy memories and rewrite the tragedy of the ending. There will be more of that later as well.
Do you prefer this "inexperienced" version of Bai Ye, or do you miss the master he has become over the years?
