"This isn't a joke," Anna moved in an aggressive way towards him, "they defended the town and some of us fell. Where were you, new sheriff, at that moment? Why didn't you come and save us with your mighty power?"
Aroon took another sip of his coffee before calmly saying, "I saved your life."
"That doesn't count," she shouted in his face, "you hid while we fought, and now you consider yourself the new boss and want everyone to follow you? Life doesn't go through such an easy way."
Aroon glanced at her angry face before taking another sip. "And?" he said in a calm tone that was so irritating to her.
"You are pathetic…" she said before turning around to leave. "Y'know…" she stopped all of sudden before turning to him, "you are a disgrace to your own brothers and sisters."
Just as she said these words and turned around to leave, he moved in extreme anger. "Stop right there!" he shouted and she unwillingly stopped.
"What? Do you plan to crush me as you did with the other two? Is this how the new Sheriff will act towards his people?"
He didn't speak while moving in slow steps towards her. The atmosphere of the hall changed and the other two stood up before Cheryl stood in between them.
"She doesn't mean anything," she hurriedly said, "y'know her."
"Stop it Cheryl," Anna said with a sneer, "can't you see what he turned into? A tyrant!"
"No, he isn't," Cheryl shouted back, defending him. However, her tone showed how much she was conflicted about this situation.
'Screw you,' Aroon inwardly cursed before swallowing the entire cup in one breath. He was too angry to feel the pain of the hot coffee, and that cup didn't help to relieve the headache he was feeling.
"Just a reminder," he pushed Cheryl's body to the side while grabbing Anna's arm, "if you mentioned any of my family again, I won't care about your real intentions."
He slowly applied some force over her arm and she could feel the pain and pressure. "Aroon… Stop it!" Cheryl shouted while being afraid of what this situation might end up to.
"Lead the way, my vice," Aroon suddenly said and everyone in the place glanced in a weird way towards him.
He already released the arm of Anna before turning to the microwaves and got some meals in one backpack.
"What do you mean by that?" Anna asked in a loss while holding the arm he just held.
"We have a damaged town and many people out there," Aroon said while preparing another cup of coffee.
"They need my help and I'm going to honor the duties of my new post. Or…" he finished packing and turned to glance at her, "do you prefer to let that weak ex to act like he owns the town?"
"This isn't about who leads the town," Anna didn't agree with his words, "this about what's right."
"He challenged me and I beat the hell out of him in a fair fight," Aroon walked to the door while adding, "what's wrong about that loss? He is a bitter loser, and they are a bunch of fools to follow such a person."
"That's not the point," Anna tried to argue but Aroon stood at the door and said:
"It's the rules of us, the ultimate rule of everything related to us," he gave her a deep glance before adding, "I didn't break any rule here, but he did… all of them did."
His tone carried his deep frustration, and that was received in another way by the other three here.
"I'm going out there to help people, are you going to remain here or follow me?" he opened the door and moved while leaving it open behind.
The three girls exchanged glances together before one of them moved. It was the all-silent Arora.
"Where do you think you are going?" Anna stopped her as she grabbed her arm.
"He is right," Arora calmly said while pushing the hand of her friend away in a gentle way, "Mark and others are in the wrong here."
"That…" Anna looked a bit hesitant. "He wasn't there to help when we needed it!"
"He was weak," Arora said while turning to Cheryl, "are you coming?"
"Sure," Cheryl moved with strong steps while Arora followed.
"I'm surrounded by crazy bastards," Anna shook her head while muttering in anger. She glanced at the opened door before sighing and started to follow as well. "Screw this," she cursed before closing the door behind.
Aroon went out of tent zero while taking out his rubber ball from his pocket. He started squeezing it without noticing this at all.
He used to do so in the past year to relieve any stress he would face. A very efficient way to make him calm and collected.
In front of his eyes, the system's message about the mission assigned to him was hanged midair.
<Ding! you've got a new mission!>
<Ding! Help the people in your town mission is assigned to you.>
<Ding! You have to make the people here feel safe and help to solve any problem for one day. As the new leader of the fallens you need to honor your responsibilities>
<Reward: Gaining two point in each stat + getting 20 EXP>
<Failure: Losing the trust of the masses + losing your right to be the leader of the fallens here + losing five points off each stat>
"Damn it!" he whispered in obvious frustration, "you did this on purpose!"
<Ding! You need to learn how to be responsible for the privileges you get> the system said, <Ding! Helping people is the right thing any righteous man should do>
Aroon didn't know what to say and the addition of the three girls to his side forced him to drop this matter.
"Let's take a tour first," he said, "I have nothing else to do for now."
The girls noticed his nervousness while he started to walk. The camp taking the central place of the town was filled with many refugees.
However, Aroon knew this was just the tip of the iceberg.
This wasn't the first time to help people in attacked places. For him it wasn't a pleasant experience at all to listen to the wailing and seeing the despair in everyone's eyes.
However, this time he had no way to run away from this. This was the first mission he got with experience points given to him as reward.
