Capítulo 12: Winner
Boom!! Due to the collision of spells, the sound echoed in the hall. Clara was rapidly casting spells and Eric countered with barrier. The battle was a heated one. Both parties were blasting off with their offensive as well defensive spells. The battle continued in this pace for more five minutes. Slowly, the magic power of Clara was depleting. She realized that her opponent was very much stronger than her. Her all attacks are stopped by Eric with a simple magic barrier. She knew that she is not a match for Eric. But her pride doesn't allow her to accept the loss. She worked hard than anybody but due to her status, she was always shooed. And now her opponent is a lazy noble who uses his identity to live. How could she lose to him?
Due to this subconscious thoughts, her body control lost to rage. Her body entered to berserk state. Berserk state happens when a being lost control over body due to rage and primal instincts take over the body. When somebody is grave danger this state mostly happens. Berserk state certainly brings 200% of power but it have side effects. If somebody have used it for a few minutes then a few days if rest would help. But if somebody uses it for a long time, the body can't handle the power and starts to break. It can makes somebody disabled for lifetime or in worst chances it can also result in death.
Unconditionally lost in rage, she started casting a high tier magic - Lava Bomb.
For a normal full fledged magician, it takes five to six minutes to finish off the casting. But for Eric it takes no time, due to his skill rapid casting.
A huge boulder filled with lava came flying towards Eric. Eric quickly casted ice magic to froze the big pile of lava. But the heat was relatively high. The ice was slowly melting. Lava bomb is a spell with a boulder filled with lava. It is not a spell for targeting enemies, but it is for explosion. If the ice is completely melts then it will burst and even Clara will be hurt. With no choice left, Eric used his original magic - Ice Domain. This spell converts a particular area into a ice field for castor's convenience. The area inside domain is completely under the control of castor. And ice domain also allows the castor to cast unlimited and stronger ice spells. Though it consumes much mana. But due to Eric inheritance skill Infinity Mana, it is piece of work.
The domain covered the arena. Due to the domain the temperature stated falling down. But the heat was still overwhelming. The ice which froze it was fully melted. And the suddenly lava bomb exploded!!! The lava was splashed in every direction. But Eric, quickly to lower the temperature used a mega tier magic Blizzard. Instantly all the lava spurts froze in an instant. And then after a while, Clara's berserk state was off and she fell on ground. And with this, the duel was won by the laziest noble named Eric Valhard.
