Hadrian POV
Time went by as I told my story to Leon. As I finished the re-telling of my death, I looked up to see Leon in tears. I freaked out. "Please don't cry. I didn't man to make you sad". I panicked and tried to look for something that resembled a handkerchief to wipe away his tears when arms suddenly wrapped around me in a hug.
I went stiff in surprise. No one apart from Kellen has hugged me in a long time. I felt warm and fuzzy all over. I turned around to see human Leon hugging me.
I finally understood why hugs were wonderful. We stayed in that position for a while when Leon let go and looked at me with teary eyes. "You have most certainly suffered enough. Now i understand why you want to be reborn and behave like a child again. I will grant you that wish but I can't let you be reborn again in your past life." I must have looked confused that made leon smile gently at me. "I will let you be reborn in a world similar to yours but it will be different from what you experienced."
I felt joy and hope run through me. "I would like to do so. I wish to live a life where I can have a family and friends to cherish and protect but I want the memories of my past life with me also my abilities. These are non-negotiable". Leon ended up pursing his lips. I knew that he was not pleased at the idea but I needed this to keep me going and to be strong for my new family. Leon must have seen something in my eyes and let out a resigned sigh. "Very well. I shall let you keep them. However, use them as a last resort. Promise me." I nodded. Leon nodded and then started his preparations for my rebirth. "Alright, come here and sit in the circle I have drawn". I did as he said. "I will let you learn your new world but there are few things i can't tell you now but I can promise you that I shall let you be in a happy family". I smiled gratefully at his words.
Leon smiled and then started chanting. The circle began to glow and I began to feel drowsy. My eyes started closing. The last thing I heard before the darkness took over was "We shall meet again my piccolo cub. I look forward to the changes you make in this life".
It felt like an eternity until I heard singing. The voice was soft but filled with love. I slowly opened my eyes to see a beautiful face in front of me. He had a oval shaped face, fair skin, bright green eyes which looked like emeralds with a mole under his left eye. He also had his black hair with red streaks braided on his left side. He looked down to and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back and gurgled. "Hello my little star. Did you sleep well, my little precious sweetling ?" I giggled. He smiled. "Welcome to your new home baby. Papa and I are so happy to see you".
I felt happy. I knew from the way he cradled me that I was born again as a baby. I looked forward to my new life with Leon watching over me.
