Capítulo 98: Part 10 - Who ordered sushi? 20/??

"You have mere seconds to say goodbye to your friends; I suggest you make use of them," Johnny said with satisfaction, addressing Kurobi, who was still watching the now-standing Yosaku with a somewhat worried gaze. If all the fish-men weren't such arrogant idiots, Kurobi would be far more worried, but as it was, his opponents continued to underestimate them despite all the warning signs.

"Chuu! It seems we need to repeat this,"running his thumb over his pursed lips, duck-lips stuck his head under the water again.

"Nyu! If you're fast enough," Hachi said discontentedly. "Hey you! Grab your swords," the octopus kicked Yosaku's fallen swords towards him with a few weak nudges, " and fight! I'll show you how terrifying my Rokutoryu (Six Sword Style) can be! Nyu!"

"Seriously, guys, is there some school where you learn these phrases?" Johnny grimaced as if he had swallowed a lemon. "A school for young villains? A class for particularly slow learners?"

Yosaku, however, didn't respond to either the octopus's or Johnny's words. He simply looked at his swords and, with slow, almost unnaturally sluggish movements, bent down and picked them up. Anyone who has experienced extremely strong emotions —negative or positive, it doesn't matter— knows that such emotions completely hinder one's ability to perceive the surrounding world accurately. Yosaku was no exception in this regard. His red-eyed gaze, after focusing on the octopus for a few seconds, shifted past Hachi to Chuu, who was puffed up with water. It was hard to believe, but at that moment, Yosaku's already terrifying expression became even more horrifying. If Luffy were here, he would immediately realize that the enraged Yosaku had come up with a terrible idea. And given Yosaku's emotional state, it was safe to say that the idea was not promising anything good for Chuu.

"Nyu! If you're not going to attack, then I'll attack myself!" Chuu lost patience quickly, not waiting for Yosaku to make a move.

Taking advantage of Kurobi's reluctance to continue their fight, Johnny, like the fish-man opposite him, focused his attention on Yosaku. Unlike his opponent, Johnny had a good idea of what was about to happen and didn't want to miss the spectacle.

"Takotsubo no... " began the octopus, resuming his stance with all his swords extended forward and their tips converging into one point, but Yosaku didn't let him finish.

The enraged Yosaku's target was originally Chuu, who had just pulled his head out of the water. The octopus was crushed in a single heartbeat. Hachi didn't even blink before Yosaku, who seemed to be ten meters away just a moment ago, was right in front of his extended swords. With one swing of the sword and butcher's cleaver hybrid in his left hand, Yosaku sliced through all of Hachi's heavy swords like matchsticks and cut a deep, bloody gash across the octopus's abdomen. Without stopping, Yosaku's second sword carved another bloody line from Hachi's left thigh to his right shoulder. Using the momentum from the second attack, Yosaku spun on his heel and, moments later, brought his right leg down on the base of Hachi's neck. It was a brutal strike capable of instantly breaking the opponent's neck. However, to the fish-men and villagers' surprise, Hachi didn't just collapse; instead, he was driven into the ground with such force that everything around shook, leaving a real crater at the point of impact.

Regaining his balance after the strike, Yosaku kicked Hachi again. The monstrous kick sent the octopus's body flying twenty meters through the air, showered with red droplets, smashing through the surrounding Arlong Park wall. After another ten meters, the body skipped across the water like a thrown stone before finally crashing into the waters of East Blue.

"H-Hachi! " Arlong, shocked to the core by the swift execution of one of his top men, rose from his chair. Nevertheless, just a second later, showing that he was not entirely unworthy of his captain's position, Arlong abruptly turned to another subordinate: "Chuu!" he shouted, though it was unlikely to do any good.

Yosaku had forgotten about the octopus — if he had even noticed him at all — right after his second kick. His rage had a different target now. Despite the shock of what had just happened, Chuu managed to react. Acting on pure instinct rather than understanding, he jerked his head back to build up pressure in his body and then slammed it forward, releasing all the accumulated water... and then he died, literally torn to shreds. The last thing Chuu saw was Yosaku's bloodshot eyes looking down at him, a sadistic grin on the young man's face, and a hand of strange matte-black color gripping his extended lips like a steel vice, sealing off the outlet for the gathered water. But the pressure had already been built up, and the charge needed to be released — Chuu was torn to pieces as if he had swallowed a full-blown bomb. The only intact parts of his body were his severed arms and legs.

With a satisfied smile, Yosaku tossed the remaining lips of the fish-man at his feet. Unlike everyone else in Arlong Park, he was the only one who had originally planned to do exactly what he did to Chuu. For everyone else, including Johnny, Zoro, and Nami, his actions and their result were a complete surprise. It was, admittedly, quite an amusing surprise, especially for Zoro and Johnny. Nami had always been the least bloodthirsty of their group, even though death had now come for the hated fish-men... once hated.

In truth, Nami was now almost indifferent to what happened to Arlong and his crew. Arlong's death or the death of his subordinates wouldn't bring back her mother or her lost childhood, and the hatred and fear she once felt had quietly turned into a gray ash of indifference. If Arlong didn't keep her sister and the villagers enslaved, Nami might have simply let them go. Their deaths had almost ceased to mean anything to her. Arlong had ceased to mean anything to her. Gray ash of indifference. And it didn't take a genius to figure out that Luffy was to blame for all this. Luffy was always to blame.

After Chuu's death, Yosaku's emotions cooled down somewhat, but that didn't mean he suddenly became his old self. Instead, he became a bit more reasonable, which meant he lost the ability to use his two strongest trump cards. He regained the ability to think coherently — more or less — and reason pushed aside instinct, though not entirely. The victims of Hachi and Chuu were not enough to quench Yosaku's bloodlust, so taking advantage of the stunned fish-men, who were still reeling from Chuu's death, Yosaku turned on the remaining opponents. He beheaded one, cut another into pieces, broke the spine of a third with a kick — so someone could feel what he had felt! — and slit the belly and throat of a fourth. The "butcher" began harvesting his bloody reaping.

Arlong intervened on the sixth fish-man, managing to block one of Yosaku's swords with his hand and the other with his long, saw-like nose, which resembled a thin Christmas tree. Blood-red eyes locked onto blood-red eyes, and it was unclear whose gaze was more terrifying — Yosaku's, hungry for fish-men blood, or Arlong's, enraged by the death of his subordinate kin.
