Capítulo 13: The place like home part 2

Kaito looked at the door which separated him and Noah. The thought of seeking the outright at this moment did enter his mind but then he refrained because it was just too early for that to happen.

So instead of breaking down the door or another foolish action he could take, he decided to focus on getting freshen up and get ready for the bed.

The bathroom was another luxury and almost behaved as a semi-open private spa section. The semi-outdoor part consisted of a man-made pond, large enough to easily hold three of Kaito with ease.

For a few seconds, he entertained the thought of inviting Noah but then remembered his body's response to that smell and quickly backtracked from those thoughts. It was better to not go down that train of thoughts for the time being.

Once he was sparkly clean, he immediately sought out the comfort of his bed. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he was out like a light and back into the dreamland.

The sleep was one of the best he had ever had. Not only the bed had been comfortable but the smell of the place brought him comfort.

It was the roar in the back of his mind that woke him up, his brain catching up with the almost transparent image in the back of the mind of his wolf.

When Kaito woke up in the morning, the first thing his eyes focused on was the pair of glowing blue not too far from here, the owner standing at attention and the scene was so reminiscent of the past that Kaito forgot all about his rebirth.

"Let me sleep a little more and then I'll wake up for the meeting" his sleep muddled mind forgot all about his filter and let him speak of things he had decided to bury.

"I'm afraid that's not possible. Please wake up now" the master was the word that managed to pierce the fog of his mind, causing him to wake up fully. At the age Noah was at, he had far outgrown the usage of master and had begun calling him Kaito.

Once he felt lucid enough and his brain focused on what was actually going on, Kaito felt himself redden at his words.

"Ah, sorry. I thought you were my caretaker coming to get me for school" he quickly made excuses for himself and watched as the others looked at him in amusement, no doubt finding all this as funny.

He quickly thought back to his words and breathed a sigh of relief when he realised that he had not actually blown up his cover. And if he played it right, he could actually use his words to construct a better cover for himself.

"I'm afraid I cannot let you or precious time will be lost" Noah's words made him aware that perhaps it was already far later than he had thought it to be. One look at the outside sun made him realise that it had already crossed the 10:00 AM mark he usually set for himself.

Although he could not tell how late it actually was, the sun's position portrayed enough information of the actual time it must be.

"What time is it?" Keito asked, just to be sure that his hypothesis about the time was right.

"It's currently close to 1:30 in the afternoon," the omega replied. Kaito took the time to let everything register in his senses but this morning felt different. His mind was still trying to get around the fact that his mindscape felt bigger than before - wider and more connected to himself.

And it tugged at him to look at the omega which made him realise what a sight the other was - the fairy looks being enchanted by the light from the window.

'He's ours' the faintest of possessive whispers was in the back of his mind which he ignored. It was just his alpha talking like he did in the previous life and he had thought of it as unconditional seduction then.

But now he knew that it was just his alpha's attraction toward an omega, even if he was not sure the other was an omega. This most likely was because of the fact that Noah was the closest omega in his vicinity and his alpha likely saw him as a pack.

He ignored the amused huff of his wolf inside his mind.

And then he stopped breathing as it registered what he had heard - his wolf. He had finally heard his wolf and he could feel him fully now. Unbinding happiness filled his senses and he unconsciously grinned.

"Master, are you perhaps hungry? Would you like to have breakfast?" the omega asked, leaning a little closer and Kaito felt himself react in the way he always did nowadays with the omega.

'Omega is back? Can we eat him?' his alpha seemed to purr those words out inside his brain and Kaito groaned. Why was his wolf a pervert most of the time?

'We can't. Our love is Jess. Remember' Kaito resonated out to the wolf, but thinking back at it all - his wolf had always looked at Noah differently. He was just never vocal about it in his previous life and mostly ignored him once he chose Jess.

"Master?" Noah asked once again and Kaito finally paid attention to the other who looked concerned. Finally, Kaito's expression melted into a soft, indulging one.

"Order breakfast for two and ask them to bring it up here. We'll eat together" Kaito finally let the words out, his gaze not leaving the omega who looked as if he would protest but then seemed to think better.

"Alright" with that he left and Kaito's brain almost exploded from the noise.

'Don't let mate escape again. Lost him once in his previous life when Kaito was stubborn and refused to acknowledge. Won't lose him again' the wolf's words were loud enough to make him lose focus all over again and cause a small headache.

"Stop it. Please stop it. He's not our mate - Jess was our mate and will be again" Kaito reasoned because he did love Jess after all.

'Keep lying to yourself but Noah is mine' his wolf huffed those words out and Kaito felt a little irritated at those words. He himself was not sure why those words irritated him so, but they did.

"He's his own person, not something to own and we'll respect it. But before that, we need to gain control of the Seni household once again" he could feel his wolf disagree with those first lines of words, the silent 'no, he's mine' clear in the attitude.

But the second stretch of words seemed to make him agree and the wolf finally calmed down enough to listen to him.

'Fine' the final words came just as the door to the hotel room opened and Noah walked inside with trays of food balanced in his arms.

"You should have let the staff bring everything instead of bringing it up yourself" Kaito chided the other, but stood up to help the other settle the food trays down. It was an extravagant meal containing fruits, salad and other necessities along with the main heavy dish.

"Needed to check for poison and other things" the omega replied, his voice tense which made Kaito stop in his tracks.

Was poison or potions a regular deal in such places? How was it even possible for them to get away with such dangerous methods at their disposal. But then again, money made the world go round so it was not unlikely that money could get them out of any trouble.

He would not even dignify himself to ask the question of - who would try and poison him because the answer was - too many people looking to weaken the Seni family.

"Was there any in here?" Kaito asked, trying to make small talk because he knew that if others had checked the food then there likely would not be any poison to be found in it.

"A few dishes had to be disposed of but the main staff has been informed of the attempt and they will deal with it" the omega seemed content to eat the food, his answer cryptic and Kaito knew that he could count on him for it.

'Mate is capable' his wolf spoke up and Kaito groaned. It was going to be a long journey from here, he could just feel it and his wolf would not make it easier at all.

He debated whether he should tell the other that he already had his wolf and call the whole journey off or to continue.

But then he took a look at the other and he knew that he would see this through after all.
