Rosa moved back a bit to see his face. There was visible confusion on her face.

“I thought you knew what it is.” she watched his expression.

Darce tried to hide his eyes from her. His worry was clearly shown. “There is something that is troubling you. What is it? Tell me.”

Rosa reached over and held his chin, making him face her. “What do you think is making you worried to this level?”

She tried to look into his eyes. It took a while for Darce to speak again.

“I saw how the soldiers with blood lust were killed. They were minor in number, but their madness was beyond control. The black knights were worse. I don’t want the same thing to happen to you. If I understand it, maybe I can help find a cure for you.” Darce pulled her tight in his arms.

Rosa smiled as she released him. She grabbed his hand and pulled him to the bed to sit beside her. “Are you afraid I will end up crazy like them?”
