Just then, Darce passed both of them to enter the dining area. He untied the cape off his back. The ladies noticed the new entry, but Rosa still stared at them. She did not care who entered and who did not. Darce walked fast and put the cape around Rosa’s body.

“I think the Princess needs to retire for the day. Please allow me. Your Highness.” He spoke, pulling her to his side.

The King of Rante did not bother to look at anyone else or accept any greetings. He guided Rosa out of the tent; his hands were firm, and he held her tight. He did not even look back. Isabella finally relaxed, her eyes closed, sighing.

“Argen,” she called.

“Your Majesty.” He quickly entered the rest area.

“Please escort His Majesty back to the castle.” She turned to face Nicholas, who was still looking straight; his expression was dangerous.

She grabbed his arm. “Let me handle things here, please.”
