The smell of wet mud attracted her. She turned her head to that side and took a step towards it. A hand grabbed her wrist. This hand was warm and strong.
“What did I tell you about staying in place? You don’t listen.” Darce scolded her again.
Rosa tried to open her eyes but they burned and closed again. She could not see him properly but the dark color she can see made her feel a little worried.
‘He must be angry.’ She felt like a child who made a fuss.
Darce sighed looking at her eyes and pulled her to the river close by. He gripped her wrist tight making sure she does not move to any other place. He helped her sit on the bank of the river. It was shallower in the corner.
“You can wash your eyes here.” Rosa nodded and extended her hand to reach for the water.
