A few days later in the main palace.
"I'm going to let Valeska live here, Your Majesty."
The moments last for a while. This is what I wanted right now. To be on your side. So I can still smile with you. Like a thunder after that incident happen. You changed a lot. It's not like you. Are you really Victor I know?
Are you crazy? Is he really want Valeska to live here? The reaction of the imperial family certainly disagrees with this. Especially the Emperor, his own Father.
"Victor...you are human. But in your blood, there is royal blood. Although you have the authority to do it. You can't let that human girl lives here."
The Emperor hated all humans but was different from Victor. Because he was his favorite son. We all know the Emperor adored him so much. Victor, at the time, was still kneeling in front of us. He was just silent and wanted Valeska to live here.
"Please, Your Majesty. I beg you. She just live here until regain her memory." He continued to beg.
"I said no! Human is never allowed to leave in this palace. If you're forcing her to stay here. Go out of this palace! Don't you dare come again!"
The Emperor began to wrath. Sam trying to calm himself. He was pointing a sword towards Victor and then swinging it. Victor was still silent until everyone in the hall was shocked.
"Vanessa?"
"Stop it, Grandpa!"
Vanessa stops the swing of the Emperor's sword with her magic.
"The current is different right now. He must have a reason to do it all. Isn't It, Victor?"
I turned to see him, knelt to the ground, and asked. He did not answer at once, of course, I worried. He talks to his father again.
"If that's what you want. I will go from this palace."
What? Wait...
"Do as you want. You're the same as your father! Catch him!"
The guards flocked into the hall with weapons.
"Wait!" Vanessa tried to stop them.
They began to fight him, one by one with a very fast attack. Victor is completely paralyzed and just avoids their attack. He seems doesn't want to hurt the knights. Her uncle also attacked him. Asked him to surrender. While Vanessa was brought by the Emperor in because it is too dangerous.
"Let me go, Grandpa! Let me go!"
Vanessa must help Victor before he gets killed by her uncle. His hand strength is very strong until she can't release it. Vanessa bite him with her sharp teeth have. So she stepped out and wanted to run towards the hall. Her grandfather reminds herself.
"You don't need to help him. Remember your duty as a knight. Protect all fourth nation from the human."
Protect all countries from humans? So what?
"Grandpa, she just a little girl. She doesn't have a great impact on the empire."
Even though I have a bad feeling towards the girl. At least now I have to do something.
"I'll beg you, Grandpa. He's your son. You can't do that to him."
"He's not my son anymore."
My grandfather did not hear my words. Everything is useless, just a waste of time.
"...If so...I have important business. You must take care of your own business from now on."
Vanessa was turned around without saying a word again. She headed straight to that place. She continue to run while she think about his condition and hope he was okay. Arriving at the place, there was no one there except Theodora.
I ask him, "where all the people," Is Victor has been arrested? Oddly enough in this hall. Why would anyone get hurt? Who did it?
"He runaway after injuring several guards. Theodore and Uncle Sam are looking for him outside the palace."
Victor did this?
The floor is full of blood. Vanessa stared at the floor of blood. She gets a weird vision because of that. The land with blood and corpses of human knights is everywhere. She could see her hand is full of blood too.
Her face looks scared or pale. It feels like there are various kinds of dead souls hunting her. They continued to whisper in her ear and laughing her. She shut her ears, don't want to hear those voices.
"What's wrong, Vanessa?!" Theodora feels worried about her condition.
Why did I become like this? I'm used to killing thousands of people in the last ten years. But why do I suddenly feel this fear? What is the reason?
"Vanessa?! Vanessa!"
Theodora continued to call her name many times. Vanessa does not respond at all and finally sat down on the floor.
"Ha...Ha..."
Somebody help me! What's wrong with me? I must be strong. I've promised him to be strong. Get me out of here!
"Don't feel it and let it go."
What? Who...? Victor?
"Yes, it's me."
He suddenly in front of me and said to let it go. My mind that is not clear can't stop looking at him. When my uncle is on the way. He hid me behind his robe.
"Victor! Release her now!" Said Theodora while directing the sword to him.
"I'm sorry brother..I have to."
The two of them instantly disappeared from my sight. Victor is casting his magic teleportation. He shouldn't be far from here. Vanessa wait for us. Your uncle will save you.
"Your Highness, the 4th Prince...Where is he?"
"He is somewhere inside the palace garden. Search him and take Vanessa away from him."
On the other hand, the two of them teleport to another place. Vanessa immediately released his grip. Her eyes were red was lit up with sharp teeth. The female vampire is ready to fight it. Victor looked at her with full of pity. He doesn't want to fight her and stepping slowly while convincing Vanessa.
"I'm not going to fight you."
"Why? WHY?!"
He stopped and give something that made her heart skips a beat. A warm smile with tears flowing on his face.
"It's because...I don't want to hurt you, Vanessa."
He hugged me tightly and make this awkward situation. I don't what to do until he holds my hand. He kissed my forehead. I saw his face for sure. His acting is really strange.
"Why?"
I wanna let you know what's going on in my mind right now.
"Why do you have such of ugly face to me?"
Do you think I'm stupid with a seduction like that? I pushed him until he fell to the ground. My heart is upset. Upset because of you.
"What is your plan right now, Your Highness?!"
