Capítulo 18: Chapter 18: Embarassed
"Mmm...." Marlin was put in the bed of the prince . After having a painkiller the pain subsided a little but-
The pain was still there . The royal doctor which is a female rushed hurriedly ;called by the prince . Upon seeing he called for a lady to be treated but its no time to be surprise. Seeing the injured she told everyone to get out because its an injury in a place where guys shouldn't see and she has to undress.

After an hour -
After she came out from the room , "Sigh..."
"What happened doctor ?", Prince Ethan asked.
Out of a rage of fit she grabbed the collar of the prince while swinging him like nothing , "Are you crazy? You're called the skilled fighter of the kingdom yet you have to be saved by a fragile girl???"
"Hey, stop it", Prince got irritated. "Tell me what happened first.."
"She is well now but the place on the right shoulder where she got stabbed ...its gonna leave a scar."
"...what?", he asked while being surprised.
"Yes.... You do know noble girls has to keep their body precious or it might be a prob to get married later . Even so without this , you should have protected her ! It could have been more dangerous; what if she was stabbed somewhere else .....", the doctor pinched her forehead.
In fact no one wants to be reminded of the possibility that this could have happened.
After the treatment, the doctor went away -
Lanier came alone to talk with the prince . He explained the situation and told him he was able to catch lady Everi and shes in the interrogation room right now . He also asked what would he do with her . After he asked ; prince answered to obviously execute her ; since shes a hindrance after all.
After quite a while , Marlin started moving . After she slowly opened her eyes , a blurred vision of the prince was shown after he came closer to her to notice if shes okay or not . She slowly raised her hand to feel if its real or not .
".....Prince Ethan?", she asked.
Unconsciously the prince holds the hand steadfast without realising. He shouldn't touch her hand but that subconscious mind already went long ago . Because he didnt want to trouble the person anyway who just saved his life.
"Yes....tell me . Do you need anything?"

After hearing that , Marlin finally realised its not a dream . She hurriedly rose from her bed which startled the prince and Lanier behind of course but she didn't care . She didn't realise she was in her undergarments. She was covered in blanket before so it wasn't so revealing. Due to her sudden actions , Ethan and Lanier flipped backwards so they wont be able to see whats she doing .
Marlin not thinking the embarrassment she made rather she rushed upto the prince and held his hands .
"My Prince... i need to tell you something."
Ethan again reverted his eyes. The look on his face was quite something to see . Marlin saw his face becoming red then she noticed her dress then when reality hit her hard. She screamed at the top of her lungs which was enough to burst Ethan's and Lanier's eardrums for the day.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Ethan covered Marlin's mouth to stop her from screaming anymore .
"Are you done? The maids outside are maybe thinking I am tormenting the young lady . You dont want my reputation to go at stake i assume hmm?", he said.
Marlin nodded. After that Ethan removed his hand .
"Please wear something then we can talk ..."
During Marlin getting ready . Lanier came up-to Ethan. He didn't speak but he was looking at Ethan which Ethan sensed. He felt uncomfortable with the stares.
"Tell me what is it this time...", Ethan asked while being irritated. He was sipping his tea from the tea pot delivered by the maid for Marlin.
"Forgive me your highness , for the poor lady to have such a scar . The female doctor is right ... she will have a hard time to get married , it will affect her future quite badly don't you think while she saved our honourable prince !"
"...so?", he looked at Lanier while still drinking his tea nicely.
"The prince should definitely take RESPONSIBILITY!"
The prince spat out the tea he's drinking , "Wait, what?" He started cleaning his mouth.
"Isn't it obvious, well you've already seen her the way her future husband would see...or are you that kind of pervert that you like to watch eek..!"
"Do you have a death wish...?", Ethan glared at him.
"Well, I am not dying before i see your kids your highness . Thats my earnest request." He meant it actually from the bottom of his heart . Lanier really cared for Prince Ethan more than anyone else.
After 20 minutes-
Ethan stared deeply at Marlin . The night didn't ended yet but he already saw too much drama already. He light up the fire place at the room to make it warm . He told her to sit right in-front of her. Lanier poured her cup of tea.
After Marlin started taking a sip of the tea she felt better than before. She kept on staring Prince Ethan again and again ; while she kept on drinking cause she might not get a chance later on to see his face.
"It must be a dream... i can't believe it. Thank goodness he's not hurt . I must save his precious face since its a national treasure!!", she thought.
Marlin completely forgot her pain . She the put her cup on the table then got into a serious mood.
"Your highness....", she asked in a low voice .
"She's not calling me her prince now... wait what am i even thinking, ugh. I think i get more crazy when im with her ...", he thought.
"What is it?", he asked.
"He's again back with his serious face... his usual face was good and charming . Well , more when it got totally red . Well, i have to complete my task. I have to save her! Theres not much time left and shes still in the woods . That poor child and her innocent sister.

"Your highness, Miss Everi is innocent! Please release her . She didn't want to kill you at all . She was forced!"
Ethan glared at her. Marlin was already getting chills and understood shes being in question for defending the person who tried to kill the prince.
"You seem to be having a good heart for a person who tried to kill me and about Miss Everi ; she confessed she did the crime herself . We already heard her testimony. What more do you expect to believe who said it right from her own mouth."
".....her sister's being hostage. She can do nothing but to save her sister if it means blaming herself. Until she is punished her sister wont be free. Thats why we have to save her."
"Will he believe me ...?", she thought. "I don't even solid proof to make him believe me ...,"
Ethan stared at Marlin then he sighed. He called for Lanier and asked Marlin, "We still have time . We can save her while shes still in the interrogation room . You know the location right ?", he asked.
"Pardon?", Marlin was confused.
"Whats the matter ?", he asked.
" I mean , you believe me ...?", Marlin was surprised.
Lanier answered with a soft smile, "Well, isn't it obvious our dear prince would trust you , his dear saviour!"
