(Arthur Dayne POV)
---------------------------------
As expected the task was proving difficult, The Smallfolk were actively subverting their efforts, and Arthur was beginning to see the hopelessness of the situation which many of the men were feeling.
How were they supposed to bring Justice to the so-called Kingswood Brotherhood Outlaws, when the Outlaws were protected by the very Smallfolk that inhabited the Woods few settlements. How would Rhaegar solve this?
''Ser Arthur, A Word?'' His Sqiure Rogar Arryn asked entering his rented room. It'd been a good few years since he'd taken on the Young Falcon on as his Squire, and Arthur had little regrets. The Affair with his beloved sister Ashara not withstanding, his opinion of his Squire was quite high.
Skilled at arms and an especially skilled administrator, Rogar was as much his Squire as Lord Tywin's. The Destruction wrought if Tywin and Rogar ever went to war would be catastrophic and apocalyptic. Because for every Victory Tywin would take, Rogar would not only make him bleed for it, but he would gain more ghanhe lost. He was an expert in Counter-Warefare.
''What is it?'' Asks Ser Arthur.
''I have a plan to wi over the Smallfolk.'' Says Rogar, catching Arthur's full and undivided Attention.
''Speak.''
''We need to win their trust. Let's start by paying double the price of everything we take. We petition the King directly to allow the Smallfolk to hunt Hares, Deer, and Rabbits in times of need. And what little we do sell we do so at a fraction of the price they're really worth. Shouldn't take more than a month to overshadow the Brotherhood in the Villagers Heart's.'' Says Rogar with a calculating look in his Pale Ocean Blue Eyes.
''Smart, anything else?'' Asks Ser Arthur, knowing Rogar likely would have more to win their trust.
''We build A Road connected to the Villages and The Kingsroad, make the Villages more connected to the Trade Routes.'' Says Rogar.
Thinking it over internally, Arthur is able to see the merit in Rogar's Plan. The Payment of Goods three times their worth, Selling their own at s fraction of the price, and petitioning the King for hunting rights is a good short term means of gaining the Smallfolks trust. But Paving Roads between the Villages and the Kingsroad to connect them to the Royal Trade Routes is a better Long-Term means of success.
Together these ideas may just turn the tide in their favor for generations. Long-term and Short-term, both ideas mean the villages would likely be more inclined to side with the royals rather than any bandits foolish enough to take up the Mantle of the Kingswood Brotherhood's Mantle of stupidity.
These Villages were often desperate for supplies, and the only roads into these Villages nine times out of ten were just a beaten path, which was why this idea was of such merit.
''I'll write Lord Tywin directly, I need you to have A rider prepared to deliver it personally.
''I'll have a Small force of guards accompany the rider, don't wanna risk it.'' Rogar adds as he departs.
Picking up his Quill and Inkpot, Ser Arthur begins to write after retrieving his Parchment, Stamp, and Wax from his bags.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Rogar Arryn)
---------------------------------
Roland Crakehall had rode back with Four Arryn Guards and Albar Royce with Ser Jonothor Darry accompanying. Rogar passed along a letter of his own to be sent to Albar's sister Myranda, but made sure it was to be a secondary priority for delivery.
As soon as her Betrothal to Rogar was officially announced, Myranda moved to The Eyrie, and had been serving as it's Acting Lady and Stewardesses since. Rogar insisted on it, in order for her to become more acclimated to the Eyrie, and the running of it's day-to-day requirements.
They Wrote each other three times a Week, and This was his second letter this week. During the last week Myranda had been finding the Eyrie delightful, she said as much in her letters, and his household spies confirmed this.
Rogar was getting impatient in regards to Their marriage. He was greatly looking forward to the bedding ceremony especially. Ashara was delightful in her own right, but Myranda was gonna be a real delicious and succulent treat. A small mouth, Wide hips fit to birth a litter of children, Big Breasts fit to nurse half a Village, and a nice ass just begging for a Perverted Smack or full on grope.
By contrast Ashara was Exotic, she had an hourglass figure, small but supple breasts, a small round plump ass, and a skilled tongue. Her eyes were perfect.
Ashara was about eight months along presently, and was safely secured away for birthing their Bastard Child in about half a month.
Rogar hoped for a daughter more than anything, because if Ashara still committed suicide he'd need only look at His baby Girls face to be reminded of her. Even in his old life, Rogar had always been better with faces instead of names. For instance he coy remember the faces of his Intermediate Teachers perfectly but for the life of him only remembered half their names. Here he could remember his wetnurse perfectly and his Milk Mother too, yet had difficulty recalling their names.
Ugh, Rogar really needed either to sleep or to fuck something, preferably the latter. Unfortunately he hadn't had sex since Ashara got a noticeable bump, and he was holding himself back from whoring. He was horny, but He'd restrain himself until the wedding night. Because Ultimately in the end, Myranda was worth the torturous hormone filled wait...

---------------------------------
(Rogar Arryn POV)
---------------------------------
At long last A Villager came forward and had lead them to the Location of the Kingswood Brotherhood's Hideout. A clearing of Trees that stood in front of a Cave. The Clearing was dubbed The Kingswood Circle by locals due to the fact the Soldier Pines formed a circle before the Cave.
Rogar wore Leather Armor and Carried a Longsword and Shield. He was ready for battle. His group aside the force was essentially the same as it was in Canon; Kingsguard led by Ser Arthur Dayne, Crakehall's under Lord Sumner, Three Frey's under Merrett, and one Jaime Lannister. This would be fun to say at the very least.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Simon Toyne)
---------------------------------
The Tide had turned against them. Little by little generations of work building relationships with the Villages and it's people gone within one month because of Rogar Arryn. Brotherhood Spies whispered of The Young Falcon's proposal and how the King had accepted it readily.
For Five Generations The Toyne's had lead the Kingswood Brotherhood, ever since the Fall of House Toyne due to Terrence Toyne's lackluster luck getting himself court abed with a mistress of King Aegon IV Targaryen by King Aegon no less. But Simon wanted something more, he wanted an actual life for his boys Myles and Terrence where they weren't forced to remain constantly vigilant.
But outside of joining the Golden Company this was their only real option....
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Rogar Arryn)
---------------------------------
It was an odd sound, the gurgling and choking on their blood as they died. As he cut a path to Wenda White Fawn. He spun around, his Blade cutting a whirlwind arc against the Brotherhood's fodder men.
Rogar, Sword and Shield in hand, bludgeoned one opponent while Parrying with his Sword. As he heard the crunching of bone, Rogar shunted with his shield into his opponent and managed to as a result, throw his last attacker off-balance just long enough to bury his Sword in the Man's Throat/Chest Cavity.
''A Silver Falcon hunts the White Fawn.'' Wenda says.
''Before we fight, I'd like to make an offer.'' Says Rogar.
''I doubt it's worth my time, but go on right ahead." Wanda says readying her Bow and Arrow.
"In exchange for a promise of fealty, I offer you protection from prosecution in exchange for becoming a Sworn Sword in my service. Eventually you've my word that I will raise you to Landed Knight Status. Imagine, the first woman to become a Knight of the Vale and the first Outlaw to as well. Within a few years of good service a Lordship will be granted. In short, you get to form your own house, name your words, and make something of yourself beyond these woods." Says Rogar.
"You make a Compelling offer, but I will have to refuse." Wenda says.
"Why?"
"I don't serve dead men." Wenda says as she smiles and fires an arrow directly at his chest.
Rogar swats the loosed arrow aside with his sword, and growls.
"You want my feathers? You pluck em yourself!" Rogar snarls, his pride somewhat wounded at such a refusal.
It's just not on, refusing someone on the grounds their dead when their still breathing. now had she pierced his chest and then said those words he wouldn't have been nearly as upset at her, because few things in this shit world survived an arrow to the heart.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Arthur Dayne)
---------------------------------
Arthur was...worried. He'd lost sight of his Squire, now Arthur wasn't worried about the boy, he was worried how he was supposed to tell Ashara her lover died on his watch.
Telling a Widow they were now a Widow was never pleasant, telling that Widow that they were now a Widow while also being your sister? That was just downright nasty.
Plus, Ashara wasn't like your typical Dornishwoman. Grief had a way of eventually killing her type of woman. And that was never pretty to watch happen.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Rogar Arryn)
---------------------------------
Rogar's Arm ached, he'd beaten Wenda into submission, but the sly bitch hadn't made it easy.
"Finish it." Wenda said, accepting her fate.
"No, I told you my offer, I offer those same terms to you once more. Join me Wenda, as the first Lady of House Whitefawn and the first Woman to become a Knight of The Vale." Rogar says, swallowing his better judgment.
"Sure, why not." Wenda says, and it's almost unsettling how easily she accpets after he all but abused her into silence.
"Ser Vardis, have some men take Wenda into Custody. Transport her directly to the Vale, inform my Father of my Decision." Rogar instructs.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Barristan Selmy)
---------------------------------
Simon Toyne was a difficult opponent. He was ferocious with a Blade, but like most men who have such ferocity, that same ferocity left them easily tired. Barristan simply Needed an opening.
---------------------------------
(POV Shift: Rogar Arryn)
---------------------------------
Rogar charged in and essentially Speared Toyne like Roman Reigns, but from behind. He pinned Toyne, had his knife to his throat, and smirked.
It hurt tackling a man in full plate, especially since he didn't have his own Plate to absorb some of the impact.
"Simon Toyne? How would you like to have Nobility again?" Rogar asked with a small laugh....

This is the last of Jan's Chapters, which means I'll have since begun releasing once a week in order to start writing more to keep my min of Three Chapters ahead. Now I apologise for the skimming of fight scenes, but unless it's one vs all or one on one, I'm pretty useless at writing them.
For my P-atreon go to TheRagFromTheCragCorner21.
For about Eight Dollars you get early/immeadiate Access to everything stocked up there. Now forewarning you's, I'll not be posting during March, May, July, September, and November as those months plus Jan are my Stock up months. I'll be working exclusively during those months to make absolutely certain that those of you who become Patron's get the most bang for your big bucks.
