Suzuha's eyes grew wider as those words escaped his mouth. She felt like sinking into the bench she was sitting on. There was no going back from that point, and she was confirmed that her gut feelings were not wrong, after all.
"What?" She asked in a trembling voice.
The panic on her face thrilled Saishi. He let out a slight chuckle and decided to push her off the edge, "Nothing, I'm glad to hear that. I thought you were with some other guy at some love hotel."
Those words only increased her agitation further. Her heart was throbbing and she couldn't take her eyes off his face. Even then, she hoped for all that to be silly banter from his side.
"Wha… the heck? Why did you come to that conclusion?" She asked, trying to sound calm, but her voice wasn't supporting her.
Watching the frightened Suzuha hanging on the edge, he decided to lend a hand for her to climb up.
