Capítulo 35: WHAT'S GOING ON?

Pavlo then shook his head at Vla. "It's okay. I don't need anything right now."

Vla nodded in understanding and didn't bother Pavlo anymore with her question. And while waiting for Benvolio to finish donating blood to Mataya, Vla opened her smartphone to review the progress of the case she and Mataya are working on in Indonesia.

"Is this all the deed of the Cendana Family? They didn't accept the demands that were brought against them, and it wasn't enough for them to kill the eyewitnesses?" Vla muttered in her mind.

"So now they are targeting Mataya as the prosecutor investigating them?" she continued wondering. Trying to connect what happened to Mataya with the case she was working on.

"If it's true that this is all the deed of the Cendana Family, they have wrongly challenged the opponent. The biggest investor in the Cendana Family business is Kael. I should be able to persuade him to withdraw all his investment from them," she mumbling and thought back. Vla is now eager to find the truth and the mastermind behind the incident that happened to Mataya.

While Vla was busy daydreaming, looking for answers to the questions that were running through her mind, a man stood in front of her carrying a bouquet of carnation flowers and a glass of Vla's favorite mocha latte.

*For those who are not familiar with the name of the carnation flower, this flower is also often referred to as an anyelir flower. Generally, this flower symbolizes love, but each colour also has a meaning: the pink carnation symbolizes courage, the white carnation flower symbolizes sincerity and purity, and the red carnation flower symbolizes love.

Vla raised her head, seeing who the man standing in front of him was. "Kael?" she said when she found Kael already in front of him and holding a bouquet also a cup of her favourite coffee.

Kael smiled warmly at Vla. "Hello, my princess," he greeted.

Vla returned Kael's smile just as warmly. "Sit down," she said softly to Kael, pointing to the chair to her left. Because on her right, Pavlo was sitting.

Kael stared at Pavlo confusedly for a moment before he finally decided to sit where Vla pointed.

"What is going on here, Vla? Why are you all gathered in front of the medical room? Who are you guys waiting for? Is it Biserka? Then why is there so much blood in front of the main base entrance?" Kael kept asking Vla and the people who gathered there.

Vla is a little uncomfortable with Kael's character, who always wonders like this. Kael could not quickly observe and understand the situation right now.

"You're so annoying, Kael. Just look through the glass door, who we're waiting for. Then as for the blood you see, it's the blood of Ahmed's guards."

Kael was even more confused by Vla's answer. He then stood up and peered into the medical room through the glass slit in the door. He found Mataya lying dying and a man next to her who was donating his blood to Mataya.

"Gosh!!! What happened to the lion ... I mean to Mataya?" said Kael surprised to see Mataya's condition lying dying with wounds all over her body.

"An accident," answered Vla briefly because she didn't want to explain it in more detail to Kael.

"Now, you should quiet and sit quietly. Please don't ask any more questions for now," continued Vla scolding Kael for asking too many questions.

Kael obeyed Vla's words and returned to his seat. He pointed back the Mocca latte he had brought to Vla before. So that Vla wouldn't forget to drink the coffee. "Drink now, or it's going to get cold."

While on the other hand, Biserka and Callista had arrived in front of the main base of Mataya's CNY Company. Biserka and Callista immediately got out of the car they were driving.

How shocked Biserka was when she just got out of the car and was greeted with a lot of blood splattered at the front entrance. She found a lot of footprints printed clearly on the pool of blood.

"What's going on here?" she asked himself.

Unlike Callista, Callista was not so surprised when she saw a lot of blood in front of her. Only one phrase came out of her mind, "Yeah, something may have happened in this place." she muttered casually.

Biserka started to walk into the base, followed by Callista behind her.

The door guards of the main base were a little surprised to see Biserka because they only knew that Biserka was in the medical room and had just woken up from her coma. "Miss Biserka?" said one of the doormen.

Biserka just answered it with a smile and immediately attached the access card to enter the base. She managed to surprise the guards with her coming. Before finally dashing inside, Biserka said something to the guards, "Quickly clean up all the bloodstains that litter the entrance. Why are you all silent like that seeing a lot of blood splattered and don't care about the powerful stinky smell?"

The guards turned towards Biserka. "Forgive us, Miss. We have assigned cleaners, but they haven't done their job yet," answered the guards in unison while bowing respectfully to Biserka.

"What's the code from the janitor you assigned to clean up the mess in front of the entrance?" Biserka asked again.
