"I've just got some information from our Filipino spies that we've supplanted on the enemies Heneral, they said that the leader of the revolution, the man that they call Renaldo has ordered the relocation of their capital to Cebu months before our arrival, they've completely abandoned Manila and sent their soldiers towards the Visayan Islands, they have also blockaded every single docks except for one, the spies said that they've blockaded it to shut themselves out of the world, I think their leader wants to emulate what Japan did for a hundred years before the Americans came, I think he also wants to shut their country in and we have to prevent that! Once they shut themselves in, they will have time to regroup and unite themselves against one cause, which will be detrimental for our mission. Please set a course for us Heneral, we will follow you to death!" Marco said, with the fires of zeal in his eyes.
"Do not be hasty Kapitan, being hasty will be the downfall of us let's scout out their blockades first, we must first try to break their blockades but don't go all in, just test out the waters, make it sure that we can handle their forces before trying to fight them on sea, I've heard rumours of their mighty fleet that are capable of downing even our largest ships, there were rumours about their ships being supplied by the germans as an experiment on their new battlecruisers, the rumoured king of ships, the Germanic Dreadnoughts that will be used in the future, I wanna see them first before deciding whether or not the rumours that were sent back to the Capital are true, I wanna know if the Germans are truly behind these indios, so that I can plan more thoroughly, so go! Scout the waters of the Visayan Islands! Search for every nook and cranny, find an opening that isn't blockaded by these dreaded indios! These uncultured swines! Make them pay for revolting against the Spanish Empire!" said Weyler, a hint of madness obvious as he slowly succumbs to the fear of the unknown, for too much knowledge is a sin for people such as him, because sometimes, too much knowledge creates unnecessary and dangerous overthinking.
On the side of Renaldo, his men are busy fortifying the island of Homonhon, trying their best to put hindrence between them and the enemies, the more they put effort in, the less of their comrades will die, these fortifications are what determines their life and death. They dug miles and miles to make trenches that span the entire island, making it sure that they won't be reached if the Spaniards ever try to bombard them with their own artillery shells, these trenches spell their safety, these gross and rat infested trenches will be their home for the forseeable future, and they sure as hell won't make half-assed versions of it.
The plan is set in place, now, the Spaniards are the only ones missing for the party, Renaldo's itching to fight, for the banquet of death is about to begin.
Homonhon Island, 1886
Renaldo is currently pacing himself, the time to train is over, he knows that he is already at peak superhuman strength, as strong as a certain Captain from the marvel comics, just strong enough to handle prototype power armors ranging from his current PA-0 to the early models that are nuclear based, he probably isnt capable of handling those that are made in his own timeline but he can atleast make do with it for now. Behind him, his army of dogs are currently sleeping inside his tent, numbering in the few hundreds, ready to battle with their master, these dogs are specifically bred for war, courtesy of Renaldo's training, all of them are wearing armor capable of protecting them against the rifles of Spaniards.
Renaldo himself is in a trance, conserving his energy, indian-sitting in the middle of his tent when suddenly, a shout came from outside;
"My Lord! Sorry for the interruption! But Heneral Nicanor has sent me to tell you that the artilleries are set in Calicoan and Loreto! and are ready to rain showers at any moment!" a random soldier shouted from outside, a bit scared yet proud that he is talking to his Lord.
"Alright, Tell Nicanor that he is to standby at Licoan, and have him assign someone at Loreto. Also, go to the armory and ask for the best binoculars, give them to Nicanor and tell him that he should strike whenever he feels that the time is right, maximize damage and rain fire against the enemy fleet when the heat of the land battle is at the highest, show the Spaniards that they have nowhere left to run! Let them see their own fleet burning! LET THEM BURN!" Renaldo said, with venomous malice in his words, he is ready for war.
