Capítulo 5: Praeparatio
A few hours after breakfast, Renaldo went to the orphanage to usher the start of his plans and ambition.

The children cheered, voices of excitement and nervousness are apparent in their ranks, they are eager to be chosen, they want to start and they want it now.

Their own futures are bleak and they know it, especially those mature ones, they need an opportunity, a stepping stone and what better opportunity is it by serving someone of higher status? Everyone's eager and everyone's driven, they're all children but they're mature enough to see the bigger picture, they're not like those people born with parents, they're hungry and this is their ticket to a buffet.

Each and everyone of those students were tested until only 250 individuals remained, all tested using trials that tested their intelligence and trials that tested their physical capabilities.

Renaldo spent the next 2 years training the orphans, the number was also increased from 250 to 1200, basically forming a small legion army just for himself. they were taught everything from physical training and basic knowledge about every subjects to rigorous battle strategies about small skirmishes and general knowledge about military warfare, they are elites of the elites, with ages around 8-15 years old, each and everyone of them have bright futures ahead.
Renaldo also used one of his powers on them, the Eternal Loyalty buff which gave him absolute control over his personal child army, he also started to organize his army with the style of trench warfare and taught them different trench battle tactics. He used different flags for different messages and used his animal control buff to train ravens to be a form of communication because he still don't have the technological power and advancement to provide telecommunication methods for the time being.
There are also children among the orphans who are performing better than the others, Among them are his three friends who are all leagues above their peers, there is also one kid called Elizear performing even better than the three, Renaldo treated that kid as a genius because the kid is a sharpshooter and also a very great strategist, he has the makings of an ace and possibly a general in the future.
He also familiarized himself with the political situation of the country and used his father's connections to know about the current technologies of this day and age. He also controlled various animals to become his eyes and ears, spreading them all throughout the country, he will also spread them on foreign seas and foreign lands in the future when he can control his powers stably.
Each of his actions, from training his men to various communication and spy actions were done discreetly, without the prying eyes of others, he first used his animals to confirm the spies inside the hacienda and then captured each and everyone of them with the cooperation of his animals and his orphans, to the point that he's still sending false reports to various parties that are spying them to avoid suspicions.
Although everything seems like they are working well, he still have some problems that needs to be solved; He doesn't have weapons and he doesn't have the financial capability to make them, so he thought of a plan to solve these problems but they are to be solved in a later date.
