Capítulo 96: Rough morning

After midnight, Nick drove his sister home and went to pick up his friends. He waited in front of the gate of Patrick’s father’s villa for half an hour before they went outside. Basically, Claude and his brother had led them out.

All three were barely on their feet. Jo was unable to walk in her high heels so she went barefoot and held her shoes in her uninjured hand. Claude held her waist with one hand and secured Matthew with the other.

‘Picture from a black comedy or a bad horror movie.’ Nick thought. Three tough guys, he admired, looked as if they had just had a battle of their life and they didn't seem to be winners at all.

He hadn't expected everyone to be in a similar condition. He hoped that at least Matthew would be sober, but apparently the truth he learnt was overwhelming for even a tough guy like him.
