Capítulo 23: Chapter 23: The Lost Arrow

The man in red leather crept slowly underneath the balcony where Rowan sobbed. Even though he felt a prick of empathy in his heart, he had a job to do. He scanned the area, but there were people running everywhere, tears flowing.

“The king is dead then. Finally.”

Suddenly the Elven general strode out of the palace doors right near where the hidden man lay. He spoke to a couple guards and gestured around the grounds, then continued out of the palace yard. Slowly, the man moved away. His original job had just changed to a new one. He would just be patient.

Morning came like it did every day since the beginning of time. Rowan sat on the edge of her bed for several long moments before getting up.

“Where do you think you going?” Elduine peeled himself from the wall where he was leaning in the hallway.

“Blacksmith!” Rowan turned, surprised, “I didn’t know you were still here!”
