Rowan bit her lip to keep from telling the Elf prince what she really thought.
“Just take me to him,” She said low and evenly.
Elduine pushed through, shoving his brother aside with his shoulder, “I’ll show you the way, Rowan.”
They could hear yelling before they even reached the Healing halls.
“My men...would not... disobey an order... cross the river...and attack Elves!”
“Humans attacked Elves, you cannot deny it.”
“I can deny what isn’t true!”
The voices of King Gregan and King Elinias spurred Rowan and Elduine into a run. Tarik saw Rowan coming and confirmed the kings were beyond reason.
“Where is he?” Rowan simply asked. “Why is he even out of bed?”
“This way,” General Tarik mumbled. “When the fever broke, His Majesty insisted on discussing the issue with King Elinias and was on his way to the throne room.”
