Duh, was I supposed to remain a kid forever?

"Haven't I told you? Little Que has blossomed into a young pretty lady now. Isn't she beautiful?" Jiji said proudly. I was left awkwardly standing there with a smile which has more resemblance to grimace from how forced it was. 

"Indeed, what a fine lady she has become." My eyes balls danced back and forth between the two ladies, one was in her mid ages while the other was elderly. 

A young girl about my age was sipping on a glass quietly. I cracked my brain trying to recall where I knew these people. They did look familiar but I couldn't place my finger on where I knew them from.

"Why are you quiet? Don't tell me you haven't recognized them yet." Jiji said jokingly. When I blinked at her she realized I had no clue. I looked back at them.

"Hello." I nod my head politely. How am I suppose to recognize them when they haven't introduced themselves.
