Scrunching his brows, Ivan curiously inquired, "Who?"
"You know who." When Ivan did not say anything, Rachael added, "We are not sure if they are after everything that's happening around but we need to be careful."
"Why did you ask me to be careful? I don't have anything to do with them."
"It's not that simple Ivan, even though you are a human, you are still a part of the clan and our family," Jason explained.
"And whether you like it or not little brother, you are one of us, a part of us and you can never defy or deny it," Rachael stated.
"Even if you do, they won't," Jason added.
Looking at two of them simultaneously, Ivan took a deep sigh. "You both are scaring me and you two also sound like Darius."
Shrugging his shoulders, Jason remarked, "Well, if you are so scared, why don't you go see the new therapist you can't stop thinking about."
Scrunching his brows, he gritted his teeth. "Stop that, how many times do I have to tell you not to invade my private thoughts."
"What therapist?" Rachael had no idea what the two of them were talking about and was now very curious to find out.
"You don't know?" When she shook her head, Jason explained with a huge grin on his face. "Ivan is seeing a therapist and now he can't stop thinking about it."
"You are seeing a therapist?"
"Yes."
"But why? Is everything okay?" she panicked, thinking something might have happened to him.
"Nothing happened, I just saw one because Genny told me she is nice. But—" he stopped midway and frowned. How was he supposed to explain the familiar feeling and vibe he got from Amber?
Sensing his hesitation, Jason tried to cover up for him to stop Rachael from questioning him any further. "I think you really need to get some sleep Ivan, you look very tired."
Glancing at the watch, she added, "Even I need to go somewhere. You should take some rest, I'll come again."
And before Ivan could say anything, Rachael was nowhere to be seen.
"Woah, her speed is increasing day by day," Jason exclaimed.
…..
Amber's place.
"Are you home already?"
"Yes, I am cooking pasta, do you want some?" Amber inquired.
"Of course, when have I ever said no," Genny excitedly exclaimed, "By the way, how was the session?"
"It was nice, I didn't know your boss was that young," she remarked. When Genny told her about her boss who wanted to start therapy, Amber assumed he might be someone much older than Genny but who would have thought he would turn out to be of her age.
"Oh please don't tell me you also misinterpreted his age." Without waiting for her reply, Genny sighed, "I don't blame you though, it's a very common thing."
"Well, his age really doesn't matter. I was just a bit surprised."
"If you want, I can tell you a few things about him. I mean, it might help you with the therapy," Genny suggested.
"Thank you Gen but there is no need for that, I'll manage." Amber wanted Ivan to open up and tell her whatever he wanted to share. Though getting some additional information about him would really help her understand his situation better but at the same time, it wouldn't feel right.
