The room was dark, cold and icky. Her lips trembled, her teeth gritted tightly while her hands continuously rubbed the sides of her arms. The place and atmosphere felt very familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.
As she was trying to figure out where she was, a loud painful groan echoed in the dark room.
Startled by the sudden sound, she took several steps backwards. She felt chills down her spine when her back touched something wet and freezing cold. Gulping in nervousness, she turned around and slowly pressed her palm against it. Assuming it to be a wall, she retrieved her hand.
The painful groans started getting louder, each one being louder than the other. Though she had no idea who it was and what was happening, she felt a strange pain in her heart.
She didn't want to but her legs automatically took a step towards the darkness. She had no control over her body, it kept moving forward and she could do nothing to stop herself.
As she was blindly walking into the darkness, a dim light dropped upon the extreme corner of the room and without thinking twice, she quickly made her way towards it.
She stopped midway when she saw a big metal door in the dimly lit corner of the room. As she slowly approached it, the painful groans became much more distinct.
Hesitating for a while, she pushed the door open only to find a man standing in the middle of the room groaning in pain.
His hands were cuffed and weighed down with several rusty chains, his legs equally bound by a pair of large iron shackles that restricted all movement.
She wanted to go inside and help him but she couldn't move her legs. They felt jammed, heavy and cemented on the floor. She wanted to say something, she wanted to scream but no sound came out her mouth. All she could feel were tears rolling down her cheeks.
She didn't know who the man was but her heart ached for him. She couldn't stop herself from crying. Every single drop of his blood which dripped on the floor felt like a dagger in her heart. She felt helpless and torn, she felt vulnerable.
Just then, someone stabbed the man with a huge sword from the back which pierced right through his chest and blood oozed out of his mouth.
"No..." she yelled but before she could thrust herself forwards, the metal door suddenly closed with a loud bang and all she could feel was her body floating and being sucked backwards into the darkness again.

Elisberg City
"No..." Amber screamed and jerked her body forward.
"Amber—" Catheline quickly pulled her back before the big truck could run over her.
Amber hissed in pain and came out of her daze when her back hit the concrete ground. Looking around, she frowned trying to figure out what had just happened.
"You are fucking insane," Catheline groaned in pain before trying to get up.
Amber widened her eyes in shock and quickly held her friend's hand. "Oh my God Cath, what happened?"
Glaring at her, she fumed, "You are asking me what happened? Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" Without waiting for her reply, Catheline snapped again, "You were daydreaming again Amber and if not for me, you would probably be dead by now. How many times do I have to ask you to see a doctor and do something about it?"
Getting up, Amber helped her friend stand on her feet and sighed, "It's not something that a doctor can fix Cath, it's complicated."
