After 5 hours straight of deep meditation, Dela could suddenly feel her energy rising. Her veins were channelling raw energy and pouring a huge dose of what felt like an electric charge into her meridians... filling them up to bursting.
She was about to break into the finite stage!
____
*VWOOSH!*
Suddenly, a green, glowing wave of energy emanating from the depths of Dela's core washes over her entire being in a massive wave.
*VWHOOO...*
The swelling ball of energy increases steadily, enveloping Dela and spreading in a translucent bright green and gold half-globe around her and across the entire room until...
*WHOOSH!*
It dispels itself in an explosion, taking out everything in the room in a powerful wave of destruction.
The ripple effect of the explosion could be felt throughout the entire Fortress. Thankfully, the Fortress was originally created strong and impenetrable. Strong enough to withstand Gorak's excesses, so it could rather easily take the power of Dela's advancement.
Feeling the ripples and hearing the crashing pieces of furniture, the bursting of glass vases and precious decorative pieces and the tearing away of the surface of the surrounding walls of Dela's room, Oris, Guardian of the Fortress, along with the servants in the Fortress come hurriedly to check on Dela.
They find her seated on a thoroughly destroyed bed with broken parts of the bed stands and the elaborate paintings which formerly decorated the walls of the room falling to pieces on the floor about her, accompanied by eroded scraps of the walls and some of the decking. The after-effects of the explosion.
She is staring shocked at balls of green energy emanating from her palms. When she spots Oris, she beams with excitement.
"Oris, I did it! I broke through! I hit the finite stage!", she runs over to hug Oris, jumping with glee in child-like celebration.
'Hah. Thank goodness she's okay.', Oris breathes a sigh of relief. If she hadn't made it in one piece, the master would have his head.
Dela's celebration is contagious. Oris and all the other servants and guards celebrate with her, happy about her advancement. Especially as they had all witnessed her hard work and dedication to her training.
It was great news. The Master would be greatly pleased. He could finally immortalise his fated and be with her for all eternity.
Now all that was left was to tell Gorak of the good news, so he could hurry and make Dela into an immortal guardian already. Dela hoped he would return soon so she could tell him the good news.

______
Far away in a destroyed galaxy in the mortal realms. Gorak floats suspended high above the ruins of a modern, cyberpunk alien civilisation known as Planet Er.
Sparks fly from the utterly destroyed futuristic machines and mecha tanks, telling of the aftermath of a fierce battle with Gorak's immortal army.
As always, Gorak has laid to waste the entire forces of the cyberpunk civilisation in mere minutes, and he and his army are cleaning out the planet and its inhabitants when he gets a telepathic message from Oris.
Dela had hit the finite stage!
____
It is the best news yet. His fated had hit the finite stage! He could finally make her his, forever.
Energised, Gorak orders designated forces in his army to quickly take captives and complete the summoning of a Chambers of Tortures on planet Er for torture and enslavement of the poor inhabitants of Er while he hurries back with the majority of his armies.
It was necessary to leave a section of dark forces on each planet of mortals conquered to enslave and torture the captives to create more negative energy.
Gorak's minions were competent enough to know what to do. He only had to leave them with the requisite orders.
"Capture, maim, torture and bruise. Kill only with express permission. We need as many as possible alive."
With that, Gorak leaves, travelling millions of light-years in a second as he charts his course back towards Earth. To his fated.
____
Meanwhile...
the designated hunters of the Keeper's Council track and locate Gorak and his armies on their way back to Earth.
"Found him."
"Excellent. Shall we engage?"
"The sooner, the better, I say."
Sharply, they follow after Gorak unnoticed.

**** KNOW YOUR GODS ****
(Continued from last time.)
Chalding: Gorak, I have some questions.
Gorak: Shoot.
Chalding: What are the "Chambers of Tortures". Are they different from the Fortress of Tortures?
I mean, from what I know, your Fortress of Tortures is your domain, and it is so great, it can certainly contain the entire mortal realms easily. Is that right?
Gorak: Yes, that is right.
Chalding: So why do you need to institute other Fortresses of Tortures, or "Chambers" of Tortures, as you call them on each mortal planet?
Why not haul every mortal being into the main Fortress of Tortures at once and enslave them there?
____
Presenter: (Whispers documentary style to the viewers, to help them better comprehend the discussion of the gods.)
"PS: Guys, here's an important note.
You might be wondering, how big is the mortal realms? Listen to this:
The Earth's sun is a star. In the Cosmos, there exists billions and billions of stars. So many stars that they far outnumber the grains of sand on the Earth.
Surrounding each star is a circuit of planets. Some planets have living creatures on them, some don't, depending on the level of favourable conditions that permit the existence, growth and survival of life on the said planet.
Therefore, there could be at least one planet with living creatures in the circuit of planets surrounding each star. One planet of intelligent living beings at least, for every star that exists.
Since there exists an uncountable number of stars in the Cosmos, this means there would be billions and billions of planets with intelligent mortals. This is how big the mortal realms are.
Gorak aimed to conquer all the planets with intelligent living mortals, and he had succeeded in conquering over half in just two years.
And Chalding is insinuating that Gorak's "Fortress of Tortures", Gorak's domain, is big enough to easily contain all the mortal beings in the entire mortal realms. This certainly is the power of gods."
Viewers: "ooh" and "ahh" in awe, mind blown.
____
Empyrean: That's right. I was also wondering about that. But I figured you would have not wanted to mix together all the species of mortals. It might be quite messy... haha!
Gorak: Exactly. It was mainly an organisational strategy. The Chambers of Tortures are just pockets of my Fortress of Tortures. They are a part of my Fortress of Tortures so technically, I did "haul" all the mortals into my domain. Just, in an organised way.
You can teleport easily through the various Chambers of Tortures through portals in mere seconds. It was the most convenient way to sort through and effectively torture each species of mortals.
Empyrean: In the footage, you're travelling through space though. Why not teleport?
Gorak: I was travelling with my armies. They cannot teleport except by portal, and until I conquer and establish a Chamber of Tortures on a planet, I cannot teleport such vast armies between the realms as quickly as I would myself.
Travelling with a vast dark army that possesses powers less than the divine powers of gods, I would have to travel normally through the Cosmos to the nearest conquered planet with a Chambers of Tortures and a portal to teleport back to my main Fortress on Earth.
Chalding: Okay. That makes sense.
Empyrean: Yes. It's quite easy to forget the incapacity of subordinates sometimes. I must say, you balanced that quite well.
Although, your Fortress must have become a warp hole of several portals with the additional mortal realm portals at this point. Must have been a lot of pockets...
Gorak: Oh that! ha... Dela was always scared of moving through the doors of the Fortress because most of them were portals to different realms, mortal and immortal. And with no powers, she couldn't possibly tell what was a portal.
She once found herself transported to the Deadlands when she tried to escape... haha!
Lilyak: Oh no! poor thing. How did that end?
Gorak: She screamed for my rescue. Good thing fated lovers are semi-telepathic in dangerous situations, or she would have been killed out there. Oris had trouble keeping the ravenous shadow monster on her tail at bay.
Empyrean: I can imagine. Guardians are no match for monsters of the dead lands. That was brave of him to go in there after her.
Chalding: I bet he had no choice. Better to face the monster than Gorak's wrath! hahaha! *rolling to the floor with laughter*.
Lilyak: Indeed, my brother shows no mercy... haha!
Gorak: Well, of course. She's my fated. I should kill for her.
