Gorak looks down upon the people...
The moment he spots Delara, it is like he is struck by a bolt!
A bolt of electricity that goes straight through his heart, traverses the entire length of his body 3 or 4 times, and then condenses into the chilly sensation he had felt run down his body earlier.
Shocked stiff, Gorak stares at Delara for a moment too long, unmoving.
'It's her. She's the one.
She's my... fated lover!'
_______
_____
___
Gorak is astounded. It is unbelievable. He has found by accident, his fated lover!
The only one he can ever be with for all of eternity.
But how is it that his fated lover is a mortal human on an insignificant planet he only came to destroy??
Entranced, and suspended high up in the air, his unflinching gaze rests upon Delara.
____
Shocked to see the strange armies and their leader right before them, Delara's army is frozen in place, anticipating their destruction. Frightened out of their minds, the soldiers stare with utter devastation at their opponents.
The strange armies possess the power of flight! How are they to fight such an army?
Delara and the generals of her unified armies, brave as ever, stand strong, putting on a brave face as they face such a great opponent. But they cannot shake the question.
From the reports of scouts, they came expecting to face some supernatural encounters such as the thunder and red lightning, and were somewhat mentally prepared for the unthinkable.
But this... flying soldiers! It was too much.
Not only that, the soldiers were monstrous, dark, gigantic and obviously do not look like anything that has ever existed or could ever exist on earth.
There was no doubt about it. This was an outworldly army!
Realising this, the regular soldiers cower in psychological defeat.
Forget about winning. They had to think of a way to fight flying soldiers if they were to even manage to escape with their lives.
Some of these strange warriors were even growling beasts!
They were already drooling... preparing to maul them to pieces!
...
But why weren't they moving yet?
________
True, Gorak's army also seems to be frozen in place as they remain suspended mid-air behind their leader, staring menacingly at the poor, 'defenseless' humans below.
It is a lingering moment of awkward silence as the two armies stare expectantly at each other, unmoving.
...
...
...
"Are they waiting for us to make the first move?"
Huy, a fierce warrior and one of the most reputable generals of the unified armies whispers to Delara.
He is the Crown Prince and greatest warrior of Xota (a long standing ally of Angyura), and also close friend of Delara.
He cannot help but wonder why the strange armies are stalling.
"We'd better make a move, then", suggests Goseph, another fierce warrior and proud King of Deyon, Angyura's most recent ally.
He once turned down an alliance with Angyura, and became a formidable enemy of Angyura.
But with the invasion of the strange armies, he realised the only chance for his kingdom to survive would be to ally and fight with Delara's unified armies.
"They seem to be waiting on their leader's command. He is hesitating for some reason", observed Delara correctly.
"We can't attack yet. If the leader wishes to dialogue for peace at this point, rather than do battle, it is in our best interest.
We should not rush, and spoil our chances. I say we wait" she finished, intelligibly.
Delara's strategy was flawless. Stand and look unfazed, and wait for the hesitating leader of the strange armies to decide to war or not.
The moment was critical.
If this immortal leader chose to show mercy, then this entire battle, which they were certainly to lose, except by some miraculous intervention, would be avoided, she reasoned.
But more importantly, the leader seemed to be staring directly at her...?
....
No.
She had to be mistaken. He was probably staring at the entire army and because she was leading it, it felt like he was staring directly at her.
Otherwise, why would he be staring at just her, out of everyone here?
Delara dissuaded herself from the obvious truth.
But...
Gorak's unflinching stare seemed to burn into her. It was confusing and uncomfortable.
The other generals in her army are starting to look at Delara awkwardly as they notice Gorak is staring directly at her.
"Is he... staring at you?", asks Huy, puzzled and concerned.
_____
"Great One..." the voice of 'Pain', Gorak's highest ranked general breaks him out of his reverie, awakening him from his tranced state.
He turns to look at Pain.
"... we await your command." The high ranking general informs Gorak.
He and the entire host of dark guardians, vicious shadows and monstrous beasts that constitute Gorak's dark armies are all staring back at Gorak, eagerly awaiting his call to attack.
He suddenly realises... he'd been entranced for a moment too long.
Gorak turns to look back at Delara's unified West World armies before him.
"That one is mine." He points directly at Delara.
...
'What?' Delara is stunned.
Awkward sweatdrops materialise beside everyone's heads, humans and immortals alike as they realise that Gorak had been absentmindedly staring at Queen Delara the whole time.
The immortal had been captivated by the sight of a beautiful mortal woman!
And he wasn't afraid to admit it...
Shameless.
"As for the others,..." Gorak continues.
"Kill, maim, bruise, let loose!
And don't forget to capture a majority of survivors to be tortured later on at my pleasure!"
"Now... Attack!"

***** KNOW YOUR GODS! *****
Previously, on 'Know Your Gods!'...
...
LOCATION: Chalding's screen room. The Hold.
Empyrean: (To Gorak) I've been quite curious about your activities on the mortal planet, Earth. So when I heard that Chalding had footage of it, I came. *happy*
Chalding: I think all gods are curious about planet Earth ever since Gorak's legendary 'visit'.
After the last episode, I wanted to know what happened next, so I requested footage of the rest of it from the presenter. *proud smile*
It is indeed rare footage.
Gorak: "..." *speechless*
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Lilyak: Hellooo? I'm here!
Gorak: (to Chalding) You invited her too?? *shocked*
Chalding: 'Course I did.
It's starting!!
(to guards) "Quick, Let her in."
*************************
Lilyak walks in, led by the guards.
She is a stunning, glowing beauty with hair colour a mix of bleached blonde and pale pink.
Her clothes are mostly transluscent shades of pink and purple, looking like the wings of a pretty butterfly. They slightly reveal portions of her beautiful body.
The moment she steps into the room, it brightens up from the brilliance of her shine. Everyone stares.
Chalding: Whoa...*blushes*
It's the first time he ever saw Lilyak in person.
Lilyak: Hey everyone! *cheerfully*
Everyone: *still staring*
Gorak: Hey Lily... care to tone it down a little? You're too bright.
Lilyak: Oops! I'm sorry. *cutely*
(Dims down her glow, but she still glows slightly, like a fairy.)
Everyone except Gorak: aw... *keeps staring*
Gorak: Guys?... are you watching?
Chalding: Aw! The movie started without us. Guess I gotta start it over.
Lilyak: *taking a seat* Guess what, guys? I brought cookies and sweets for everyone!!
(Produces a massive sack full of sweets, the size of Santa's sack full of Christmas presents, out of nowhere!)
Everyone: "Sweet!" "Oh great!" "Yay cookies!" "Hurray!" "Awesome!"
(They quickly distribute the sweets.)
Lilyak: Oh, and Boo-boo bear? Mom sent you this plushie!
(Hands Gorak a cute unicorn plush toy)
She says to squeeze it whenever you miss her!
(Snickers in the background as everyone except Lilyak is dying from laughter.)
Gorak: *angrily beheads the unicorn plushie*
Empyrean: (to Gorak) I think it suits you better this way... with the severed head. *smiles teasingly*
Gorak: "You-" *angered*
Chalding: Guys, guys... settle down, it's starting.
(to guard) Charlie! dim the lights.
