I said after a few moments of silence. Roxy looked down and nodded, before mumbling her decision again.

"So... I am going in with you."

"... Fine."

I gave in, even though letting her in there would be dangerous. Especially after she just confessed to me, I didn't want her to be harmed without giving her an answer... Yet, I agreed.

I didn't know what I was doing at this point. Sighing, I decided to ask her to use her powers to repel the monster.

"Alright..."

She took a deep breath and put her hand on her throat. Without any way to remove her mask without compromising herself, she had only one way to activate her powers.

She had to destroy the gem-like core attached to the choker.

Roxy hesitated for a moment before finally pressing her finger down on the chip. A small crunch came from her choker, and I immediately felt an unpleasant feeling wrapping around my body.
