She says stuff like that with no resentment whatsoever and I wonder how she could be so accepting of her situation, especially since she didn't know the real reason behind it.

"Do you know where we're going?"

"I figure Hank has the information I need?"

"Baby, you don't have to do this." I was chickening out.

Once we walk into that room and she gets involved there's no going back. I was in a quandary here. On the one hand we'd be one step closer to putting an end to Khalil and on the other, I'd be opening Pandora's box and standing the chance of maybe losing her.

It was a choice no one should ever have to make. She turned my face to her and studied my eyes. "This has something to do with me doesn't it?"

I fought myself about telling her the truth but in the end I couldn't lie to her. "Yes!"

'Then I have to do it. And when it's done you'll tell me everything and then we'll move on."
