"You need a break," Brunilda unceremoniously stated.
So preoccupied with his reading, Mattheus hadn't realized the cat had come back from her surveillance. Looking to see that it was still early evening, the twenty-year-old focused on his friend that came back earlier than expected.
"You're back early. Did something happen?" he asked as he marked the journal and straightened up.
Brunilda waved it off, which looked a bit odd in cat form with her almost pawing at the air. She settled onto the low table as she dismissed. "I put someone else on surveillance duty since it's too much to deal with if it's just myself. Which is why I'm saying you need a break if you can't share the burden."
"You're already helping me though?" Mattheus furrowed his brow in confusion.
