Capítulo 20: Reminiscing

"I missed you." Fu Hua said as he kissed Feng Alix's shoulder cape.

They were currently lying in each other's arms after their love affair. Because Feng Alix had her back to him, he was able to lie and hug her from behind.

"Do you miss me or the s*x?." Feng Alix asked as she turned her body to face him.

Fu Hua chuckled softly as he used his fingers to move her hair away from her face. "Of course I missed both."

"Now I believe you." Feng Alix said with a smile as she hugged him.

Fu Hua returned the hug as well. "Sleep." He whispered to her.

"Are you going to disappear just like usual by the time I wake up?." Feng Alix asked with her gaze on him.

Fu Hua let her go as he explained. "You know I'm very busy with the upcoming Autumn show. And my grandfather just came back so things are going to be pretty busy."

"I know. How is your grandfather doing?." Feng Alix asked?

"He is doing great. Now get some sleep." Fu Hua said as he patted her shoulder.

"Knowing I won't see you when I wake up, I don't feel like sleeping anymore. I want to spend some time with you." Feng Alix said to him as they locked gazes.

"Okay. So, what do you want to talk about?." Fu Hua said as he finally gave in to her.

"How was your trip?. You've not told me about your encounter at that place." Feng Alix inquired in a curious tone.

Speaking of his encounter in the remote countryside, Fu Hua remembered somebody, a pretty soul.

"There is nothing special at that place." Fu Hua replied after waving the flashbacks away.

"At least you could tell me something." Feng Alix insisted.

"Alix, why do you not want to listen to what I'm saying? There is nothing to talk about. YingPei and I went there to take care of my grandfather till he was willing to come home. The city can never be compared to the countryside." Fu Hua said.

"Heh! Take it easy. I just wanted to know about your adventure. You are my boyfriend, remember?." Feng Alix said to him with her eyes glued on his face.

"I know. I think I have to go now, see you some other time." Fu Hua said with a slight smile on his face before moving the sheets off his naked body.

He got out of bed and got dressed in his clothes.

"Why are you leaving now? Are you unhappy with me because I asked questions to know how you coped while looking after your grandfather?." Feng Alix asked as she sat up on the bed with the sheets hiding her naked body.

"Alix, my leaving now has nothing to do with that. I don't want to argue with you because I have other things want to spend my time on." Fu Hua said as he buttoned his shirt.

"Fu Hua, most times I don't get you. Your acting this way makes me think that something actually happened to you in the countryside." Feng Alix said to him.

"Don't question me that way! You are my girlfriend and not my mother. See you..." Fu Hua said as he took his jacket and walked away from the room.

Feng Alix threw a pillow towards him, but that was after his back disappeared from her view. She pulled at her hair in anger before burying her face in-between her legs.

Fu Hua drove into the night back to the Fu Villa. Everybody had already gone to bed except for his father who was sitting in the living room with a magazine in his hand.

Fu Hua was surprised to see him, but then he maintains a normal facial expression as he walked towards him.

"Dad, you're still awake?." He asked.

Looking up at his son, Fu Lei replied, "I was waiting for you."

"You have something you want to talk to me about?." Fu Hua asked as he took a seat on another couch.

"Do you have plans of settling down any soon?." Fu Lei asked as he folded the fashion magazine which belonged to the company Fu Hua was the Chief Executive Officer, of...

"Why the sudden the question?." Fu Hua asked.

"I'm asking because I want to know your plans. You will be 30 towards the end of next month." Fu Lei replied with his gaze on him. He had a serious facial expression.

"My age doesn't mean anything. I have no plans of settling down soon. I want to continue giving my attention to work." Fu Hua replied.

"Your goals are not bad, but you need to start thinking about how to settle down before somebody assists you with it. Do you have a girlfriend at the least?." Fu Lei asked.

"None." Fu Hua replied almost immediately.

"Then where are you coming back from looking that way. Don't get me wrong, I know you are an adult." Fu Lei asked.

Because Fu Hua left his girlfriend's place in a hurry, he didn't comb his hair, and his shirt looked rumpled.

"I went to hang out. The Autumn show will be coming up soon, and I am already under a lot of work pressure." Fu Hua replied.

"I get it. Because you had to take care of your grandfather, you have a lot of work piled up that needs to be taken care of. One piece of advice to you, if you have a girlfriend, do introduce her to us as soon as possible." Fu Lei gave him a pointer before resuming back to the magazine he was reading.

"I will, thank you!." Fu Hua replied before standing up and walking away.

Fu Hua walked into his spacious bedroom. He turned on the lights before walking into his bathroom. He took a shower and changed into his nightclothes, before letting his head hit the pillow.

As he laid on his bed, flashbacks from the countryside came to his thoughts. Without knowing, he was thinking about all his interactions with Jia Li.

Feng Alix on the other hand wrapped herself up with the sheets with her fingers making a fist.

"Maybe I shouldn't have raised that question again, now he is angry with me." Feng Alix said to herself in frustration.

Capítulo 21: Enough Attention Yesterday

The next morning, Feng Alix when to look for Fu Hua in his office. She was a top model on a contract for his company.

During the two fashion shows in the year Fu Hua's company organized, she was one of the top models in the country that modeled for them.

The workers knew her to have a close relationship with their boss even though the relationship was not defined.

Now seeing her in the company this early in the morning was not a surprise to them.

"I'm here to see your boss." Feng Alix said at the receptionist's desk.

The two ladies had a polite smile on their faces as one of them asked, "Do you have an appointment with him?"

"No, I don't. But the reason I'm here to see him is very important, so let me in." Feng Alix ordered.

The two receptionists glanced at the graceful model who had her hair let down. She was pitting on a spaghetti strapped short grey gown. She had a silver purse in hand and a pair of stiletto 👠 on her feet.

As she talked, the dangling earrings on her ears, moved about.

"Miss Alix, if it's work-related matters, I'm sure your agency would set up an appointment with our boss. But if it's for personal reasons, then the boss has to be aware you are here to see him." The receptionist replied as she exchanged glances with her partner.

"Fine. Please call his office and inform him that I am here to see him." Feng Alix said as she rolled her eyes at them.

The receptionists sighed as one of them picked up the telephone and made a call to Fu Hua's office.

"It's Mia from the receptionist desk. Miss Alix says..."

After the call, Mia dropped the telephone before informing Feng Alix that she could go up to see Fu Hua.

"Thank you!." Feng Alix proudly said to them before leaving their sight.

"She sure is arrogant." The other receptionist said to Mia.

"Whatever it is, we just have to do our job well," Mia replied as they both got back to work.

When the elevator arrived at Fu Hua's office floor, Feng Alix catwalked towards Fu Hua's office, totaling ignoring the people she met along the way.

Now standing before Fu Hua's door, she took a deep breath before knocking twice, then she opened the door.

"Hello, Mr. Fu." Feng Alix greeted the busy Fu Hua before going ahead to take a seat before him.

Fu Hua looked up at the pile of papers before him to see his girlfriend staring at him with all smiles.

"I heard you wanted to see me, what's the matter?." Fu Hua asked without any emotions on his face. But he definitely wasn't angry with her like yesterday. The work must be so he tics for him.

"I came to take you out for breakfast." Feng Alix replied with a smile.

"No thank you, I had breakfast before coming." Fu Hua rejected her.

"Ok, that's good. Since you've had your breakfast already, can you accompany me to have mine?." Feng Alix requested with a pitiful look.

Fu Hua who had his focus on the clothe sketches looked up from it.

"Alix, you should know what time of the year it is. I've been absent from work for five and a half days. And now that I'm back, you should know how busy I will be. I don't have time to accompany you." Fu Hua said to her with his gaze on her.

"The five and a half days you were away from work, you were also away from me. Do what's wrong with asking my boyfriend to accompany me for breakfast? I mean, I took my time with my dressing today, not just to come and stare at you but to go out with you." Feng Alix said with creased brows.

"Didn't I give you enough attention last night?." Fu Hua asked as he resumed back on the sketches he was going through.

"Fu Hua look, I'm sorry about last night. I forced you to leave when you sacrificed a little from your time to spend the night with me." Feng Alix apologized with her gaze on him.

"I'm not holding anything against you if that's why you came to see me this early in the morning. Alix, we have no business today, so you can go back." Fu Hua said to her as he picked up another sketch to study.

"Are you saying you won't accompany me today because it's not work-related?." Feng Alix asked.

"Even if it's work-related, I won't have the time to see you. But if it's urgent, you can meet my assistant." Fu Hua said as he pointed at the door for her, before putting down the sketch in his hand and picking out another one.

"Fu Hua!." Feng Alix called out in a childish tone.

Fu Hua put down everything in his hand and fixed his tired gaze on her.

"Alix, can you please not do this, at least for today? I already have more than enough on my plate. I will be so busy today I won't have the time to accompany you. You can go back. And when next you want to show up in my office unannounced, think twice." Fu Hua sad to her in a warning.

Feng Alix had an unbelievable expression on her face.

"Fu Hua it's me, your girlfriend. Why are you treating me like any random girl?."

"If you were a random girl to me, you wouldn't be in my office talking to me." Fu Hua said it clearly to her.

Feng Alix looked as if she was about to cry.

Fu Hua knew his words were kind of harsh, so he said to her in a mild tone.

"If you don't want to leave now, I will order a cup of tea for you. You can leave when you are done with it, but just know I can not keep you company today."

Feng Alix heaved a sigh before picking up her purse and standing up. She gazed at Fu Hua for a few seconds before walking back to sit on the couch in his office.

She crossed her legs and had her arms folded.

Fu Hua sighed as he picked up the telephone ☎️ to make a tea order for Feng Alix.

Three minutes later, a female worker brought the tea for Fu Hua.

"Give it to Miss Alix." Fu Hua said to the female worker, who in turn followed his instruction.

Fu Hua went back to work after the female worker left his office. As for Feng Alix, she took her time drinking her tea.
