The moment Lucy's alarm went off in the morning, she opened her eyes and frowned as she noticed the empty space beside her on the bed. Sitting up, she called out, "Babe?" Her voice was still thick with sleep, and she yawned as she waited for a response.
When she received none, she got off the bed and slipped on her robe. "Babe?" she called again, this time heading toward the bathroom. She peeked inside but found it empty.
Concerned, she made her way to the door. Just as she reached for the handle, it opened, and Tom walked in, a wide smile on his face.
"Where were you?" she asked, her displeased frown deepening.
Tom grinned, "Someone seems to have woken up with a mood," he teased, chuckling when she glared at him.
"I didn't wake up with a mood. The mood came only because you were not in bed cuddling me or staring at me with love in your eyes as I slept," she said with a scowl, and he laughed.
