Capítulo 32: Apparition.
"Roxanne, now!"
<<Icicle>>
A spear of ice made its way towards the C-Class monster, Elemental Buck. A large deer-like monster that was rare to find. Its antlers were used to make magic weapons as they were tough to destroy.
It sensed the mana change around and moved its head to intercept the spear with its antlers.
The spear hit the antler, but it dissolved in an instant.
"Lucien, restrain it!"
The earth around the monster started to wobble. A few seconds later, its legs were trapped.
They couldn't afford to lose time. It could free itself with boost any second now.
Out of the bushes, a young boy jumped out. He swung his sword mid-air to strike at one of the deer's antlers.
'CLANG!'
Sparks flew out right after the clash. The boy gripped the hilt and struggled to cut through the antler.
<<Sonic Cut>>
The sword started to move violently, and the pressure increased. The monster tried to resist, but the antlers could not hold on any longer.
'Slash'
The sword sliced through the black antler. The monster managed to free itself and made a run for it. It left with a broken antler.
The boy responsible for breaking the antler sat down on the ground. His hands were shivering because of the previous exchange.
'Smack!'
The rest of the party walked out. One of them smacked the boy with her staff.
"I warned you."
Thibault looked at her and said,
"The antler was very hard. There was no other way to cut through it."
The girl named Fleur was about to smack him again, but one of them said,
"You both can have your lover's quarrel later. We have the antler, so let's go back to the village."
It was Lucien, a young mage with brown hair and eyes who specialized in using earth magic. Tired after holding the monster with his magic for this long, he wanted to go back as quickly as possible.
"Yeah, what he said."
The girl wearing a tight robe and a pointy hat joined in. Her name was Roxanne, and she specialized in dual magic types of Water and Fire.
Fleur glared at them in embarrassment.
"No healing for you!"
They both smiled and said,
"We anticipated this."
They both pointed towards the pouched attached to their belts.
"Potions for the win."
They took out a small bottle and drank the potion. Fleur harrumphed looked at Thibault.
"Did you bring a potion as well?"
Lucien answered in his place,
"He would rather be pushed around by you than spend any money on potions."
Thibault scratched his head. He was a renowned cheapskate.
Fleur extended her staff towards him and said,
<<Light Healing>>
The pain around his palms started to decrease. The swelling disappeared.
"There, you should be fine now."
Fleur took back her staff. Thibault got up from the ground and stretched his limbs a little.
"Thank you."
He felt as good as new. After that, he walked towards Lucien and gave him a tight smack on his head.
He looked back at both the girls and said,
"We have the antler now. Let's sell it and get our rewards."

"A village right between the forest."
Anna commented. While they were on their way towards Vasconia, Diana had picked up on a large barrier. They were curious about its origins, so they decided to pay the location of the barrier a visit.
"The barrier isn't hostile towards us, but I am sure that a monster has no chance against this."
Diana admired the craftsmanship of the barrier. It was comparable to the emergency barrier around a royal castle.
"Why don't I feel anything?"
Vincent was trying really hard to use his mana sense. He couldn't sense the barrier at all.
"It is a very high-level barrier. You need a lot of practice to sense through it."
She consoled Vincent to stop him from exhausting himself.
It was a very peculiar place. The trees had been cleared in some places. There were wooden houses on the ground, and the people were going about their life normally, and a stone structure in the center of the place. It was probably the formation responsible for the barrier.
"Excuse me?"
A lady appeared behind them. She was wearing the clothes of a nun, and her eyes were the lightest shade of blue.
They took out their weapons and got ready to attack.
Anna observed the nun closely and said,
"An apparition?"
The nun smiled and said,
"Visitors, I mean you no harm."
Anna put her weapon back into the scabbard and said,
"Lower your weapons."
They followed her instructions.
"Are you headed towards Vasconia?"
"We are."
"Then might I suggest that you rest yourself in our village?"
Anna looked back at them.
"What do you think?"
"It's been a long journey. It couldn't hurt to make a stop."
Diana wanted to meet the creator of the barrier.
Vincent nodded. He was still trying to sense the barrier.
Anna looked back at the Apparition and said,
"We will be visiting the village for a few days."
The Apparition smiled and guided them into the village. They were having visitors after a long time.

Entities are created through force. When someone tries to manipulate natural balance or destroy the order of normality, an entity is formed. One can say that they do not belong in this world, and they use up their lives to mold the world to their liking. Fortunately, entities need to sustain themselves constantly, which is a detriment to their existence. Some rare cases bind themselves to a host and continue to grow along with it. They keep growing in power until they can overpower their hosts and take over, after which they live out their lives as the hosts. They are malignant towards normality, and must be destroyed as soon as possible.
