Capítulo 22: Why Are You Scared Of Me?

"Oh, hey, you are back? Finally, I missed you so much!" Xixi softly puffed up her cheeks to express grievance, noticing Riwansa was back.

"Sure, I believe you, I have been standing right by you since the past few minutes and you just had your eyes on me?

Riwansa rolled her eyes.

"Aye, that's not it. I was just thinking about how we met back then. It's been a while already, no?

Riwansa who was packing up some stuff paused her movements as she was also reminded of that time.

Time indeed flies. It feels like they barely got to know each other and now they are aware of each other's deepest secrets.

"By the way, are you going somewhere?" Xixi asked curiously looking at all the dresses and armours being wrapped up inside the packing storage.

"Um...actually I just took the decision and that's why...

Xixi suspiciously squinted her eyes at her, sensing her hesitance.

"You are abandoning me?"

Sensing her silence, she widened her eyes in terror almost screaming.

"You are leaving me??? Your best sister? Who helped you much? Who stuck with you through thick and thin?"

Riwansa massaged her temples, unable to pacify Xixi's dramatic persona.

"I am being assigned to the south portal. Although it's a little…"

She changed her words as Xixi raised her brow

"...Although it's extremely risky I might be able to collect some important information and help you out in return."

"Don't haunt me if you die for me, ok?"

"I will definitely haunt you." Riwansa uttered sarcastically, unable to believe the so-called best sister who was overreacting just a second ago, started joking about her death.

"Hahaha, very funny. Take me with you, I can't stay alone here with that bad tempered prince."

Xixi's face scrunched up in annoyance

"Which annoying prince?"

The familiar voice interrupted Riwansa's giggle.

'Is he a cat or what? I couldn't even hear his footsteps.' Xixi thought to herself immediately guessing who the interrupter was.

"Steven, I was talking about him." Riwansa explained hurriedly.

"I apologise on behalf of my brother." Ziran smiled politely, his gaze still on the woman playing with Reliott at the very corner.

"You don't have to apologise. I am sorry for bringing it up, I will leave now." Riwansa heaved a sigh of relief after leaving the room.

She doesn't have nine lives to dare to accept the second prince's apology. Too scary

"Did I disturb you?"

Ziran whispered in Xixi's ears, startling, almost making her half jump.

"No, no,not at all. It's your palace afterall. You can rest here. I won't take your precious time.

After the conservation of the game platform she could no more feel at ease when staying near this person. She might very well get a heart attack out of nowhere. And he is definitely not as elegant as he appears to be.

"There is no hurry, I will be bored here alone, how about you accompany me for a while? It won't be too troublesome right?"

He said pretending not to notice her nervousness.

"Yeah of course, of course, it's no trouble." Xixi felt like crying from the pressure.

"Why are you so scared of me?" Ziran asked, looking straight at her deliberately closing the distance between them by a few inches.

He patiently waited for the answer of the question that had been occupying his brain since last night.

Teasing her is fun for sure. But he definitely doesn't want her to get scared of him.

"Xixi, have I probably done something that disturbed you?" He asked again, receiving nothing but silence from Xixi who was subtly inching away from him.

"I am terribly sorry, second prince, but I am not scared of you at all. I am simply maintaining basic courtesy, afterall you are this kingdom's royal prince." She said with a barely noticeable smile.

"I told you to call me Ah'ran no? You should listen to me, afterall I am this kingdom's royal prince." He said calmly, trapping her in her own words.

Xixi bit her lips internally struggling to not burst out at him in anger.

Ziran amusedly stared at her, resisting the urge to pinch her cheeks red with anger.

"You know I am not from this kingdom right? I can prove that I am not any sort of spy or human weapon. After that can you let me go? I think it would be better for us to maintain a certain distance." Xixi said composing herself.

'It's simply going to be a waste of time to beat around the bush. With his cunning nature he probably even knows how I turned up here. Setting up boundaries will help both of us.'

"Of course I know you are not from here. But why do you think I should cooperate with you? What benefits will I receive? Isn't it better to keep on annoying you?"

Xixi was speechless.

Why does she feel like the prince in front of her is nothing like the one described by Riwansa.

"I can't provide you with any benefits." Xixi said disappointedly, her shoulders drooping tiredly.

"What if I say you can?"

Xixi furrowed her brows. Royals have many weird hobbies, who knows if he is planning to sell her or take her as a lab guinea pig. No way, she will agree to that.

"I won't sell you or take you to the lab. Relax." Ziran said, eying her up and down disapprovingly.

"You-you really know how to read minds?" Xixi asked, sneaking near him like a guilty child

Ziran slowed down his steps which caused Xixi to bump her nose on his back.

"I can, only when I am having physical contact with a person for whom have any strong feelings of love or hate towards them."

This was a secret only his parents were aware of. He is being too careless. But…..It's definitely worth it.
