Capítulo 7: Goldy
Feeling a little nervousness stop my finger from pressing, Cal wondered, "What am I going to tell him? After all, if he hasn't called in two years, he, like me, has nothing to brag about, and the intermediate result isn't a result at all, although we can just talk, which, frankly, I'd like to do. The next day, in the evening, Cal was saying goodbye to his family, a cab was waiting outside, and the airport was a six-hour flight to a sparsely inhabited island. Having handed not a big bag to the luggage, as a hand luggage remained a bottle of water with almost cool contents, a cell phone, documents and the same notebook. Climbing aboard, Cal took a selfie in the background of the aircraft and it instantly went to Goldy, in company with a picture of the part of the ticket that indicated the estimated time of arrival. Settling into a seat that would be comfortable for 30 minutes at best, Cal looked at the other passengers as if encouraging them to take their seats so they could enjoy the sensation of takeoff and the beautiful scenery. About an hour after takeoff, when most of the passengers were asleep or listening to music, Cal couldn't figure out if one of the rules would be broken if the reading was in a whisper, with lots of people around, but no one could hear him. Yes and no!
The seat on the left was occupied by a man about 10-15 years older than him, all the time from the beginning of the flight looking through the porthole he was not intentionally causing minor inconvenience to Cal, who, despite his desire to start reading, decided to adhere to the rules and suddenly offered the stranger in blue headphones to switch seats.
- Honestly, this is what I was dreaming of. Not that you should give me a seat, but that I should have a window seat in the first place. It's my first time and it's already a memorable experience for me, thank you.

The desire not to miss the opportunity to familiarize myself with a couple of pages was gradually growing, as well as the doubt in making this decision, as if two cars tied together by a cable wanted to get to the same place, but were going in different directions when there was only one correct road. Inner tension, not reflected in facial expressions and other outward manifestations, then replaced by calmness and the decision not to allow the thought of violating the rules of reading from now on. It is not every day that one has the honor to see the macro beauty of the globe from a height of 9-12 thousand meters, and flying at a speed of at least 600-700 kilometers per hour.
