Capítulo 192: Better for the Worse

Faith was following Caytlin through the vast array of corridors to the King's parlor. After three days of high temperature, her illness went away as fast as it arrived. She should have been grateful that her ordeal lasted only a few days, considering she had walked in wet clothes almost an entire day after Precious had thrown her into that lake.

Grandiose paintings, beautiful vases, and robust grandfather clocks, all demanded her attention. Even though she wanted to stop and take in the art, her mind was elsewhere. When the man came to her bedside when she was sick, his touch made her feel something she had never felt before. His voice and scent reminded her of Andrew, but she knew he wouldn't have acted so caringly and warm.
