Capítulo 85: A Stray Dog

Hope was running through the woods. The trees were rapidly passing by her, all seemingly the same. Her breathing became erratic, not being able to maintain that pace for much longer. Where was Fenris? She asked him to wait for her when she left the village. But he was nowhere to be found.

Hope's feet were sore from the uneven path she ran on through the forest. She couldn't hear or see anything around her. It was as if she was running in complete silence in a pitch-black void. Therefore, she stopped and stood completely still for a few moments. 

It wasn't long before the deathly silence changed. There was activity among animals and birds again. So much was happening around her. There was a distant chittering call of a woodpecker chick thriving in the rotten trunk of an old silver birch tree.
