Alessa cleared her throat audibly. She was standing at the open doorway of the office of the librarian, Mary Brighton, who was engrossed in a thick volume and didn't seem to notice Alessa standing there. "Excuse me?" Alessa piped.
"Oh! Sorry, dear." She gently closed her book and set it down on the desk. "Are you back to work on your paper about 33 Mason Manor?"
Alessa smiled brightly, surprised the librarian recognized her. "I finished going through the record books and was wondering if you knew of anywhere else I could look for information?"
