Selena's body felt like it was being smashed as Serenity held on to her, but it was still nothing compared to when Medeva had taken her out of the first room. The pressure she felt right now was less than half of that, but she was still barely able to withstand it.

 As her pain and thoughts muddled her attention span, Selena didn't realize that Serenity had let go of her. The pressure was slowly, but steadily starting to ease until she was at a depth that wouldn't instantly kill her. As the barrier began to break down, she now felt like a large rock was on her chest, instead of a mountain.
